Wondering if anyone remembers a brampton freight brokerage that turned into a straight truck carrier after a couple of years.

It was started by a woman in brampton that was running it out of her apt. and I think she might have even won an entrepreneur award around 2002 -

I believe they went bankrupt 2 or 3 years ago and I can't seem to think of the name.

Just curious if anyone can help me on this,... I think it started with a G or f....

Your not thinking about Karen at Demand are you?
I know there were some articles in the trade magazines about her but that was around 99-2000. If so she is still around just moved down east.

I thought they started running straights to do their own p & d and ended up going bankrupt cause of it.

If it was G.E Fraser, Lori (Laurie ?) was the owner, if I remember correctly, and ran it out of her house in Orangeville - really nice women, and they had a great thing going for many years. I think you're right friendlybroker, they did start doing their own P & D in the end. I remember they used to use Cross-Dock Systems back in the day...wow, that was awhile ago !!
