Requirements for Payment
DSN requires a copy of POD before payment will be processed. If you provide one you're payment will be processed promptly. AMA in your particular situation after your call yesterday, we went to the consignee and got the POD ourselves. Your payment is now being processed. I urge you to please call the General Manager Mr. Paul Stevens 905-607-6775 x 9301 should you have any issues you feel are not being addressed by DSN's AP department. That's probably a better method of resolving these issues than posting here.
DSN also has other methods available for faster payment:
1) Quickpay Program - for a discount (much less than a factoring company) you can get paid in 7 days. POD is still required.
2) If you are part of our Diamond Carrier program you get:
-On our freight broadcast
-First right of refusal on the freight we have
-We move 85% of our freight with our Diamond Carriers
-Special promotions and sporting pools
-Diamond Carriers get paid 10 days faster

AMA has every right to post that question up here. We are trying to expose the bad guys, and by the sounds of it your reply puts you in everyones good books.

AMA, no hard feelings. I did not mean imply that you were slandering or anything. When people post comments here, they have a way of spiraling out of control. As a broker, our credit reputation is the most important business factor we have. Without great credit references and paying everyone quickly we will cease to have carriers that want to do business with us. It doesn't matter how many customer we have, if we can't secure trucks, we soon will have no customers! So, I take it very seriously if there are any payment issues. They need to resolved quickly and through good communication. Please, if you are feeling any frustration with our payment process in the future please call us and bump it up the ladder.

Some of the basic requirements are:
1. Move at least 10 shipments in the past 12 months with DSN
2. Have a minimum 90% on time pick up and delivery
3. Meet all regulatory requirements (ie WSIB, Satisfactory DOT rating, etc.)
4. Fill out and sign our Diamond Carrier Application form
Our philosophy is that if you're willing to work with us to provide trucks and good service, we'll do whatever we can to work with you!
