Hi everyone is been really long time hopefully everyone doing well and got Rich by now lol but Im back will start contribute here again.

Been calling around few loads that are been posted on link, Toronto - Atlanta. end up finding out La salette On to Macon GA. is this normal now?

Sounds like a TQL posting or maybe CHR if they where fishing. I find it is normal for some US brokers, but if you look and a load is posted by the same company over and over and there is one that is off the beaten path that is usually the real load.

We/they sometimes do that at the shipper's request. They know we post our loads, and they don't want their competitors to know their shipping patterns. Moreover, sales people go fishing on the boards too... if they see a load out of La Salette, ON it isn't too hard to find who the shipper is via Google.. can't guess the shipper so easily if its a load out of Toronto. I find alot of business that way... look on the board for small towns that ship in your lane.. take ten minutes to find the likely shipper via Google.. and then call with "hey you wouldn't need a truck for Georgia would you?".. Bingo..

Hey Rob and Freight Broker thanks for help. you guys still looking sharp it been while.. FB that makes sense but it kind suck after wasting your 45 seconds to 1 minute of introduction. have to get with program now.

Freight Broker;

Business/freight intelligence is a great thing, and yes, you are 100% correct, its not hard to find any substantial shipper or receiver in smaller towns by browsing the link.

This is one reason why we don't use the link alot of any of our rural or small town loads. How many volume shippers are in Goodwood, Ontario for example.... We just like most company do everything is our power to protect our intellectual property, which is a list of clients for example.

While the produce loads are running, you have to get attention by posting the loads in phantom sometimes just to find the right trucks to 'run'. Produce is generally over by Thanksgiving.
