Dark Horse Express Dorval QC

Exactly Shane. If a carrier accepts a shipment for what he believes to be a low or unfair rate, they should at least have the decency to admit upfront that their service will be awful. Pick up will be whenever they can, delivery whenever it suits them, and don’t be surprised if the freight is all smashed up, if and when it does deliver.

DNU after multiple service failures? Communication issues? Also looking for a little bit of elaboration on this.
While I do agree that rates shouldn't really change level of service, but service levels definitely contribute to our ability to call you back to do another load.

any updates on this carrier?

They did a load for us in October. Very much a "use with caution"
Trying to go through my email strings here - unfortunately almost every email they sent was never in the most recent string.
Was not picked up or delivered on time. Day late on both ends. Even though we were told "delivery will be on time if we pick up tomorrow, it's a team"
Communication was far from perfect. Load did get delivered, it wasn't a time sensitive load.

Big Red Flag. Booked a Team Load with them. Delivered 40 hours late. No communication .

Very Bad taste in our mouth. Never again big DNU for us .

add as double brokers as well. They are DNU for us for sending another company to pick up a load from our docks (still not sure if stupid or ballsy)

This one in particular hurt as I know the owners from when they both used to be company drivers and then owner ops when I was a driver manager. Both were excellent drivers, polite / punctual / willing to help.
When they partnered and opened up their own company, I was happy for them.
such a let down

look at my answer back in 2020, i told you guys dnu.

It is pretty much understood that when the rate is cheap the service will match- but customers expect great service for low prices.

Basically customers want to book Bison for airport road prices

They've done a few loads for me. Small delays and issues with communication.

That being said every carrier has it's pros and cons. Sales job is to manage customer expectations.
