I'm sure I have seen D & W Forwarders Inc. on this forum before but because of the ampersand and the dots between the abbreviations I am having a hard time finding the post so I'll start new.

D & W Forwarders Inc. has lost their FMCSA authorities, but the odd thing is that their insurance is still valid, the inspections are not over the national average and there has been no FMCSA orders on this company. I cannot see a reason why their FMCSA has been revoked.

D&W Forwarding has been around since dirt was first invented in Brampton. They were, or still are, the in house carrier for IKO roofing. It could be that they have downsized or pulled back on their US based operations, therefore not needing FMCSA authorities, We still use them on local flatbed and flatbed with Moffet shipments.

They certainly haven’t downsized. A few years ago they set up a yard in Calgary. Really muscled their way into the IKO work here. (Inbound & outbound). Think they landed some Mine work out in Cache Creek, BC. They appear to be continually growing out here.

I'm not sure if it's a glitch or an error. Maybe they don't even know that it has been revoked. I just stumbled over it when I was looking at the FMCSA revocations for the day. I assume that we will hear more about this later.

From what I remember, they don't do much or any cross-border, they are actually owned by IKO (split partnership) and pretty much exclusively haul for them.

That might explain it. If they are a not for hire carrier they will not need an MC number.
