CVOR test??!! (Ontario only)

Has anyone else heard about this new requirement that to get a CVOR in Ontario, you now have to take a "test" to prove that you know about the industry you are getting involved in?
Thoughts?

Ontario used to have this test as requirement and removed it a few years ago.

Is it a PITA? Yes as you apply for your CVOR then they let you know that you need to go to the Drive Test Center and pay an additional fee to take the test. If you pass you are one step closer to obtaining your CVOR.

I for one, am glad to see it reinstated. And we apply for CVOR's for our clients every day.

Any idea anybody if expired CVOR can be renewed/reinstated without going for the written test?

Anyone who can't pass that test with flying colours shouldn't be allowed near a truck.

The test is so simple that when I wrote it 20 years ago we actually passed it around the office and had a good laugh.
I think they use the same template for the "Politician" test.
