Hello,

Has anyone ever delt with this type of situation?

Customs inspection - Port of Arrival: 0212 - HIGHGATE SPRINGS, VT (I-89)

We have a trailer pulled into Highgate for inspection. The freight is approx. 30 Crates @ 14,000lbs and double stacked. Relatively fragile in nature.
The border is stating they cannot off load with their lift and cannot see to the end of the trailer so are requesting we send a lift or any means of equipment to offload.

Once everything is on the dock for inspection they will inspect when they have time so we will play the waiting game and then reload once this is completed

need some insight please

Thank you

Never had to call in my own crew but have been devanned lots of times. Usually right around a thousand dollar bill at the end of it all in Fort Erie anyway. If they are telling you to find a guy to unload you better get on it as they will not let you leave until you do. Customs gota love em.

Yeah , border agent doesn't want to talk to me . Only through Livingston but they have no idea of what to do .

Have the importer of record, who pays Livingston, call them to get it rectified. Livingston will pay all the fees and charge the IOR for the demurrage.

Unfortunately, your wait time you will have to negotiate with your customer.
