Customized Global Logistics

We are supposed to be getting a cheque this Friday - I have asked for it to be HELD for pickup. Will see what transpires - this has been coming for a long time with CGL - they are getting worse and worse....

Paid a visit to CGL. Have an office a block away. Buds refused to come out - "meeting" kept him busy. Pretty much Compass like behavior. Will try to see him again.

Reporting:
Just visited CGL for the second time, receptionist was surprised "I would call you if I have a check for you". And Buds is on meeting again (with US partners) and most likely will be there for the whole day. So no chance to see him today.
I will visit them Monday, will deliver "bad press" - all wishes and opinions from that thread - feel free to express them well.

Many people just do not know about "Inside Transport" - in some cases they have to know.

And "Yes" - CGL have some trucks and I can see them running.

well, I was gonna take some of their freight today, glad I did a search, I will be passing Thanks for the insite.

i called back to tell them I would deliver COD, they cant do that, but she offered to put me on a "special" list of select carriers that could get pd in 30days.
Gee what shall I do...........NOT

This "list" doesn't exist - we were put on it last year....did nothing to speed up payments....just a "hopeful" list - never transpires....

They just called us on some freight we had posted. I told them that we could not give any freight to them due to the postings on this thread and that they should read what carriers have to say about them. Some of us brokers do care about what others are doing out there and if we can help by not giving freight to these people then that is what we will do. Hopefully they will read the postings here and learn that the secret is out.

Does anyone have current payment trends for Customized Global Logistics? Are they paying any better?

Any current info would be appreciated.

No they are not!!!! Bud is still same old Bud. And his helper girl Tammy is no help whatsoever. Had an invoice from Oct 30/09 and finally got payment about 2 wks ago. I had been leaving msgs for Bud and Tammy had promised me a chq. Finally last month I realized that I owed them $$ on my brokerage side and they had called here at 30 days looking for payment LMAO!! I told them that they obviously did not realize we were the same company and that when it comes to reciprical business I pay on the same terms that are extended to me, so that being said since we still hadn't been paid for our October invoice I would not even entertain their invoice at this time and to call me back later. Wow a week or so after that I got a chq! LOL a couple days later their AP called here again and I laughed at her and told her again that I would extend them the same courtesy that Bud extended us. By his terms for payment she should not call back here until April for payment.

Good Lord...just paying October now...How much longer would it have been if you didn't "swop" cheques?

Looks like same ol' - same ol' here....

How can they keep operating like that? It has been a couple years at least that their payments have gone downhill and word has been out for a long time on CGL...

Thanks for the detailed update XWest.

Well, well, so I'm not the only one having problems with CGL. Hmmm. Actually, I called the operations manager at JCB, a nice lady by the name of Joni Wagland, sent her a copy of my outstanding bill from Feb., and got a call back from Ron Titus at CGL saying payment would be made on 6/16 and 6/30 (1/2 each). Should that not happen, I will make sure the other fine shippers shown on their website know of their payment habits.

Anyone else still waiting on payment from Customized Global?

This is the latest story from Bud - "we have a large customer who hasn't paid us...when we get paid you will...." Our receivable has nothing to do with this "large customer" whatsoever....

How has this place stayed afloat for so long...don't understand it....

anybody have any new info on cgl. Just got a letter from Frank Snyder (president) claiming cash flow problems. Want me to agree on new terms for payment. Not sure whether to accept or go the smaill claims/ call customer route.

Did you ever get paid?
