One of my current drivers worked for these characters late last year. They are for sure double brokering and using owner operators but they do have at least one truck. My driver quit as he was concerned about what he was hauling and he heard another driver at Corona was charged criminally and has a fine of over a million dollars and the owners will not pay for his fine. I actually checked myself and I noticed that this was on the internet about illegal cigarettes.
The owner of Corona only got hit with a $40,000 compared to the driver who got hit with over a million dollar claim. apparently the driver sued Corona not long ago.
I am 100% staying away from these characters.
 
Informative, but would be more useful an convinient to keep all the info in one thread instead of creating separate for each occurrence or opinion.
Would you be so kind and include above in the existing thread?

Anyone have experience with CTL/Corona? They have been reaching out but can't seem to find much on them, want to make sure their service is good.

Can you please provide your company name and your name?

You are making very serious allegations while remaining anonymous, and much of what you are saying is either inaccurate, exaggerated, or completely false.

To clarify again:

  • No driver sued us.
  • We are not double brokering loads.
  • We operate legitimate trucks, equipment, warehouse operations, and cross-border freight services.
  • The past tobacco-related incident was addressed through the proper legal channels years ago.
You claim one of your current drivers worked for us. If that is true, then please provide details so we can verify whether this is even a legitimate statement.

At this point, it appears multiple anonymous accounts are repeating rumors and internet speculation without any actual firsthand knowledge or documentation.
 
Your lies continue. You are definitely double brokering, and using owner operators when you're not. It's up to you what you do but at least be honest about it. In regards to the court claim, see attached. Still denying this isn't real?? Mic drop

This is the first time we are seeing this document. The driver in question is currently on the road working, so once he returns we will speak with him directly regarding the matter before making any further comments. That being said, you continue making broad accusations about double brokering and operations without actually providing factual proof of those claims. Having owner operators or contracted equipment in transportation is also not illegal but we have our own equipment NOT owner ops!

At this point, it seems the discussion has turned more into personal attacks and assumptions rather than factual conversation.
