Continental Freight Movers - Oshawa, ON

Caught this company trying to double broker a load we tendered them from Saskatoon to Montreal. When confronted they just said yep. Also when investigating them they are working and partnered with First Carriers and the new VTL. We caught First Carriers double brokering also. I'm told they use each other as references. Please be cautious with any of these companies do your homework.
 
I think Grizzly Endeavours works with several transportation people. Ive had little issue collecting payments though. Sheldon has been around for many many years I'm told

Yes .... I interviewed with them a few months ago ... STAY AWAY! The office had nothing but 2 small desks and laptops. I was literally in there for 5 mins. and the guys wanted to make me a manager of a new office they were starting, but wanted me to give him all my personal information and permission to list me as the director of this new venture! They wouldn't even give me any info on the company .... I just caught their name on a load confirmation as I was walking out! They can be out of that office without a trace in 2 mins! They have no customers .... they only double broker.

On a related note, has any carrier taken loads from them in the month of April from Mississauga to either Calgary or Burnaby? Please touch base if so. We just caught them double brokering as well and would like to see if they used their own trucks or if these shipments were also brokered out.

Please stay away from this company. They are not real. They just use a small office at 1019 Nelson St in Oshawa. I was their for an interview and all they want you to do is to lie while booking loads. They are double brokers and they hardly ever pay their carriers. While I was there I could hear a telephone conversation with one carrier threatening he wouldn't deliver the goods until he was paid in full.
 
We are holding money on a Load they took from our company . we asked them for us to pay the invoice we needed to know Under which name they work on Link logistics and we needed proof that the broker they used was paid . after 1 week still have not received any information. except today a e-mail with documents from Oshawa court house
 
Just got a email and thought would share it with you.

called inquiring about Q.C.T and Continental Freight Movers out in the east end of the city.

Apparently these people are scamming freight from the link. They are using someone’s account to get freight and once they get the freight you can't find them.

They are trying to get employees as well, collecting personal information from possible new hires

He wanted to warn us about them and stay away from them
 
This morning I received 3 calls regarding a load I posted on loadlink. The carriers were True North Trucking , Continental Freight Movers and Q.C.T. Thankfully I always look them up and none were on the link and through the internet I saw this posting and will not use them. Very glad this forum is here. I make notes on carriers that I should not use. I would not like to be scammed. Thanks guys for all the posting of who to watch out for. Oh yeah, I also advised loadlink right away.

Documents from court will be fake. They send them and try to come across as real but they do not file with the courts. Did the same to us with First Carriers ( in the same scam ) and the documents were a dam joke. A legal document would have court stamps and further, the ones we received had nothing.

How do these companies continue to operate this way? It always baffles me. It's hard enough to run a reputable company and survive these days.....

This company owes us over $10,000 for unpaid freight services from April 2017... I have heard every excuse in the book by these scumbags not to pay, lost cheque in the mail etc.

Anyone have any luck collecting from these guys?
