Hello....looking for assistance please.

What is the Carrier Customs procedure(s) for: containers arriving at a Port in Canada for final destination to the United States?

Thank you.

Further to my note: shipments will be trans loaded (destuffed) and move over the road.

Once grounded at the port the Customs Broker can clear electronically as with any other shipment.

You will also require a steamship release before you can dray it to a warehouse for destuffing.

The Carrier that picks up the order from the Warehouse. Do they handle the shipment as normal and present too U.S. Customs at point of entry from Canada...or do they need anything else? (appreciate your comments/assistance)

If it's clearing into Canada and then being shipped to the US... Then nothing in your procedure changes.

If it is coming into Canada on an IT the driver would need to stop at Canada customs before entering the US to cancel the IT Bond and then present to US Customs at entry to the USA.

Who issues the IT Bond?
