Conova Logistics from Point-Claire, QC invoice 110 days old empty promises one after another. If anybody had experience with this guys please advice what it was.

Thanks

Cut them off end of 2008 - took months to pay small amounts.

Andrew is the owner - if I remember right - he will mention he is only in dispatch, accounting or the warehouse. His "titles" were always changing depending on the nature of your phone call.

Maureen was in A/P but ended up telling me Andrew was the owner and there was nothing she could do regarding payments - he was the one who sent them out.

Call and speak to Andrew directly - tell him (or "whomever") your next call is to the customer for collection....

Terrible

Always hard to deal with, paid very slowly since they got going.

Only took litlle bits of freight and kept the account under $1000.00.

I would never have extended them credit under these hard times.
Good luck!!

We sent Conova to collections because of their empty and continuous promises. They seem to respond when the bigger guns come out.

My advise is to avoid them like the plague, especially after reading here that they've pulled the same stuff with other companies.

Canova owed us over $50,000 over 90 days. We cut them off and threatened to call thier major customer in Germany. They do steel coil loads from Montreal to Illinois, they slowly paid after harrasing them every week for the money. I guess we got the money the carrier after us was supposed to get. Don't get involved with these people, getting paid for good work shouldn't be difficult. Ian is a lowlife who is following in Howard Rockmans footsteps.

There conova

 NO SERIUS GUYS THEY TALK WITH ANOTHER CARRIER ON PHONE AND THEY FIND WAY TO CUT YOUR LOADS AND NEVER SEND YOU INFOS ABOUT IT. WE DID A JOB FOR THEM AND THEY NEVER TOLD US THAT THE COSTUMER WAS A JOB SITE. SO AT NITE WE CALL THEM AND CHRIS TRANSFER ME TO ERIC AND ERIC TRANSFER ME BACK TO CHRIS... SO PRETTY FUNNY TO WORK FOR PEOPLE WHO THREAT YOU LIKE BULLSHIT AND ASK YOU FOR SERVICES.CONTINUED THE GOOD WORK YOU ARE THE SHAME OF THIS INDUSTRIES

lostman type your stuff into Word and then copy paste it in here, you will have better posts ;)

No seriously guys, they talk with other carriers on the phone and they find ways to cut your loads and they never send you information about it. We did a job for them and they never told us that the customer was a job site. So at night we called them and Chris transferred me to Eric and Eric then transferred me back to Chris. So pretty funny to work for people who treat you like shit and ask you for services. If you continue to work for these guys you are the shame of this industry!

We have done quite a bit of work for Conova but nothing recently. Would have to admit that they are slow in paying their invoices, but never had an unpleasent dealing with them collecting the money. I have been dealing with Mike. There have been excuses here and there, but nothing unexpected, and they always allowed our drivers to pop in and pickup the cheques.

I admit that they pay anywhere from 60 (if you're lucky) to upwards of 100 days. And if you don't have the cashflow to support it, it is tough.
I would suggest to companies that look to collect on their receivables within 60 days to not deal with them, but for those that can support it, they're not that bad to deal with.

Taking to collections

Conova Logistics Inc.

We are over 120 days and we have been told everything from, "a cheque was mailed 2 weeks ago" to "our signing officer is not in" to "we will have a cheque out next week". Basically lies on top of lies. They are on our DNU List with the rest of scum ruining the reputation of quality load brokers.

Beware these guys don't have any honor. They will ignore a contract and if they owe you count on going to court.

They owe us around $20000, and have just sent us some post-dated checks that are spread out over the next 3 months. First one has been cashed. But feeling uncomfortable as the invoices are already 6 months old.
