anybody have any info on concord freight logistics. Giving me the run around claiming that they never received my invoice. We fax it to them over and over and the claim they still dont have it

We just cleared up $10,000 with them from last December - their large customer - Coldmatic Refrigeration - went into receivership - the owner asked if we could reduce some of our invoices to help him out. We were finally paid the full amount last month - took 4 months to get it - paid 3 cheques in installments. Don't deal with Angela - Eddie Sabba is the owner and I dealt with him directly - eddy@concordfreightltd.com 905 771 7006 ext 22 - he responds to emails usually a couple days later but always responded. You are very fortunate in being paid on Coldmatic shipments, presuming that Coldmatic had not paid Concord. I know other brokers who are out of pocket on Coldmatic shipments.
 
Said they had a cheque ready around the 5th of june and now its only in july
 
Just got a cheq paying some April and May invoices - all been deducted 5% (quickpay)
was not advised of this and not very happy.
 
They are probably deducting amounts due to their cashflow problem relating to Coldmatic Refrigeration going under. We had to "reduce" our total receivable with them. Eddy asked if we would work with him - I agreed - and we got paid. He is probably just going to take a "deduction" off all his payables now. He should have asked and/or told you about a deduction first. I would consider yourself lucky you got anything...we were very lucky ourselves to get any money out of there....
 
The work i did was not for coldmatic and nobody asked me, he wrote it on his paperwork in small font. sorry 5% and paying late is unacceptable if i knew 5% was being charged i can promise you i would have not done the load, especially to battle for my money. i been doing business with him since 2006 and to charge 5% without notice is unacceptable by my standards.

he did the same thing to mee.. I had to goto small claims court to get him to pay and he shorted it $85.00. Think I will continue on with small claims just for the principle of it
 
email not working

I tried to email eddy at that address thats on here, but its not working anymore. Does anyone have any other information on them. I have left a few messages for Angela and she hasn't returned my calls.
 
Honestly, i got my money back barely, eddie is full of crap he only returned 1 or 2 emails out of suprise that i wasnt paid. still reduced all my invoices 5%
 
When I called about my payment the girl tried to tell me something about a 5% reduction and I told her that it wasn't quick pay the invoices were already 60 days and we did not agree to any reductions that she was to pay the full amount. We will see what happens.
 
X - i had it out with them about this too but yet my bills were reduced 5% they said read the fine print.
 
I just read it today. I saw on the bottom brokerage fee 5%. WTF is that sh*t???? Never heard of it. As it told her we never signed it so we didn't agree to it. You can't agree to a rate and then deduct a % from it for no reason. Makes absolutely no sense!! They're already making at least 20% brokerage from the customer so they try and hit the carrier too. NFL!!!
 
They deducted 5% from me as well and there is nothing on their confirmation that states anything about a brokerage fee.
At this point I have wasted too much time on them to be bothered to argue about $36.00. It is just too bad that someone can pull that. Has anyone filed complaint on Link?
 
We all should file a complaint. As I said previously what they are doing is highway robbery! They are already making at least 20% brokerage fee from their customer, now they think they can charge the carrier a fee too. I just don't get it. Not only that they are not up front about it and they pray on the fact that carriers/dispatchers are not reading the fine print. Bunch of crooks is what they are!!!

Just got the chq today and although my last conversation with Angela was that full payment was to be made they deducted the 5%. I got a little irate with her and she explained that it is Eddie's discision and I have to talk to him. Of course he's not in today and I have left a message for him to call me tomorrow.
