Anyone need a cheap load....give this guy a call!

Wadsworth, OH to Mississauga, ON
44,000 lbs
roofing materials - NON HAZ
DRY VAN

I just won a bid project for 250-300 loads starting immediately upon locking down my transportation for these runs.

In order to move these for the customer I need to be as close to $700 to the truck as possible. This is something that will move EVERY_DAY. In some cases there will be 2 loads per day.

Please respond to me if you have capacity and interest in this load and can get me at or as close to my target rate as possible. I need to figure something out as soon as possible so we can take this project over.

Thanks!

Everyone and his brother seems to have had this Wadsworth OH stuff. Whenever you post a truck in northern Ohio, you're sure to get like at least 3 calls from different brokers with Wadsworth freight. I always told them that if the rate wasn't 4 digits long and started with a 1, I wasn't interested. $700 was the going rate a few months ago on those roofing loads and I seem to remember that Traffic Tech, Kelron and a couple of others have it. Why pull that when you can easily get $1000-$1150 in the same area?

Got you beat. Canadian Broker has load to Miami from Toronto. Flatbed...she knows the rate isnt right but its what her customer wants so she has to throw it out there. I can respect that because she said that up front and she has no unreal expectations.
Same load from an American broker. 2450.00. Toronto to Miami.
When I busted out laughing, she told me not to call her number again. I don't think she has to worry about that.

Thats ok, Millwood Logistics offered me a full load dry this morning to Montreal for 650 including fuel, originating in hamilton.

Lets do some math on 650.00 to Montreal.
gross is 1.71 per mile.
less driver/comp/ui at .60.
Fuel at .75,
mtce at .12.
Leaves .25 per mile. do that at 600 miles a day 22 days per month, you've got 3300.00 for truck and trailer pmt, insurance, overhead etc. Whats yer problem? :o
Oh crap, I left out profit.

I don't know where this industry is going. The Truck News and OTA type people keep talking about freight volumes rising, 2012 being better...I'm not seeing it. What I am seeing is cheap freight and slow pay. Maybe I call Alex MacKinnon to buy me out.

Yes Dave in London....I believe what these analysis organizations the ones you have mentioned plus the many others, are overlooking the increased costs our industry has faced....i.e. fuel, new truck/trailer environmental specs, repair shop fees (and all other items as in oil, windsheild washer fluid, tires, parts (thats just a few items), drivers wages, increase in tolls, increase to WSIB (they raised our industry premiums again). I'm sure that I dont have to go on and on. We all know that ALL of our operating costs have risen. So these comments about our rates going up by 2 - 5 %..... Doesnt take a University graduate to figure this one out....

Dear Bluffs

There was clearly a disconnect. We did not have a FTL Hamilton to Montreal.

Our posting was very clear at 14 skids to Montreal. No one at the office offered a FTL as we did not have a FTL on file.

I apologize if you left the conversation frustrated but we had it clearly posted as LTL.

Have a great weekend.
