$4100 from Fort McKay to Freeport is close to the prevailing rate IF you're there. I'd be embarassed if I was Shane Yarndley sending out rates like that with my name attached to them!

They offered me $200 for a half load to Erie PA a couple weeks ago and figured that was enough not even to waste the time anymore.

The last of Chilean boats docked a couple weeks ago, and local produce in that area hasn't hit its stride yet. Basically we're between seasons so there are a lot of reefers looking for dry freight for the next 4 to 6 weeks.

and Ralph's right ... you have to remember the rate for decks going into that area from Texas is 10-12k. Gotta love oilfield work
