Just throwing our 50% of the sales staff huh? Well there is a chance he took 1 guy, but not sure I'd say it was on of the "good ones"

OPs staff left? That's odd... his main 2 ops staff are sitting beside me.

Being local trucks I would expect them to be plated local is this out of the norm? Probably cheaper plates and insurance in Manitoba?

Insurance for local trucks within 150 miles (I think) is cheaper. We have a daycab for deliveries in tighter spots in MB.

CNTL operates a fleet of about 600 trucks plated in MB as cheaper option for a plates fee as well, although they mostly run regionally around each terminal...

When I worked at NFI, the trucks we had were all NJ plated. I actually believe there are a lot of fleets around that have multiple locations that choose to have their trucks plated in places other than Ontario due to insurance and/or tax advantages. So this by itself wouldn't scare me.
