Cars - what did you drive in your 20's

The two cars I wish I had had the dollars to keep and maintain back then, were a 65 Mustang and then a few years later, a 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 Spyder. Just like the one in Dustin Hoffmans movie, the Graduate. However, similar to Robs experience, the vehicle that provided me with the most pleasure, was a 1973 Ford Econoline van....if you know what I mean!!! Those were the days! Long hair, crappy weed and a 28" waist!!!!

so my boss had a Mustang convertable - and she would let me drive it to pick lunch for us both... needless to say - 18, top down, Pink Floyd on the radio, free gas ... took 30min to get lunch atleast ... LOL

I had a first year Miata (1990). My friends said it would be a chick magnet, I met my wife a few weeks after getting it and she hated it ... it was stick, no AC ... convertible messed up her hair. It was great to drive so long as it was dry outside, otherwise it was a menace. But I loved it ... got rid of it after we got married and my wife was pregnant with my daughter. If I could have afforded to do it, I would have kept it as a toy.

My first car was a fire engine red 74 Ford Bobcat I bought second hand for a thousand bucks in 1979. It had all the trimmings a kid could want, including mag wheels! No self serve gas stations back then.. handed the attendant a 10 dollar bill... told him to fill er up, and he handed me back some change!
