transport 411

Heard it was great so tried it for a year.

Both parties that recommended the site are out of business now.

Lot's of useless e-mails by shippers requesting rates. Never took a piece of freight the rates were to low.

It's like broker fishing for rates on Link, looking to give the rate to the cheapest carrier.

$900.00 out the window for us.

Note the person asked about carrier 411. This is a safety and compliance site not a load matching service "transport411" that you described.

We use carrier411. It has links to safer, FMCSA, shows inspections. You can file complaints about service (double brokering, whatever) and view if anyone else has. They even contact the carrier to get a response on their take on the complaint. When you search for the carrier by mc it cross references similar phone numbers and addresses and company names, so you can see if the owner of the company has opened and closed several times over the past bunch of years. Or if they operate 3 companies out of the same address. Definitely a useful site, I'd rate it as useful or better than this site. It has saved our ass a few times.

Upforit,

You forgot to mention in your post that you need to PAY to use carrier411.com. Once the free trial is over. Therefore it should have an abundance of information at your disposal - you are paying for it.

Inside Transport is a free site. Especially for all those "non donators" - I'd say we have a very useful free tool here that the industry can utilize at any time. No "trial" necessary...

One of our client notify us that there is bad information on carrier411 against us. Carrier411 never contacted us to get our response. The reason this information is put on this site is that, we book load with this company out of Simcoe, ON for Friday pick up( produce load) which got dragged to Saturday morning and into afternoon when driver got panic but they kept telling that load will be ready and we end up pulling the truck Saturday evening around 4 so we can pick up load for some one else.
Is this normal for Carrier411 to hear one sided story and poet it to defame some one?

bigt, usually you are given 72hrs to respond, this both via email and fax. If you missed out, maybe you should contact them and ask to be able to write a response to this report.

I end up getting hold of Carrier411 and they did gave me chance to respond( even though it is over a year for original post) and I did respond. They said other party had wrong fax number. Thanks to dispatch at Fuel transport who notify us about this information which is totally untrue and it was all other company's fault for trying to stretch two pick up on Saturday morning (rush load) to Sunday and offering only $50 but we refused to have driver sitting over night after agreeing to have pick ups in the Saturday morning (produce).
