Complaint Against Canadian Specialized Carriers (2173924 Ontario Inc.)


-Thursday August , 19, 2010 I booked a shipment with Harry at Canadian Specialized Carriers from Nipigon, Ontario to Toronto, Ontario.

-Shipment was picked up at 11 AM Friday August 20, 2010 from Nipigon Sewage and it was agreed the shipment would deliver 7 AM Monday August 23, 2010.

-11 AM Monday August 23, 2010 my customer contacts me saying the shipment had not been delivered. I contact Harry and he said it would be delivered at 3 PM.

-Harry contacted me at 1 PM claiming there was a problem with my credit references and he would need to have COD to deliver the shipment.

-I contacted Harry back at 1.15 PM and told him I could cut him a cheque if he agreed to deliver by 3 PM. He told me he could send someone to pick up the cheque at 7PM Monday evening and I agreed.

-Called Harry back at 3 PM the truck still had not delivered and that is when he informed me that the truck would not deliver until he had the Cheque. Harry said the truck would deliver at 7AM Tuesday August 24, 2010.

-7 PM Dave from Canadian Specialized picked up the cheque and I had him sign a Bill of Lading for the cheque.

-7 AM Tuesday August 24, 2010 my customer contacts me to inform me that the truck had not shown.

-8.30 AM finally get a hold of Harry to find out where the truck is. He informs me the truck was 20 minutes away.

-Called again 9 AM and still no truck. Harry said he would call the driver.

-9.10 AM I contact Harry and he tells me he can’t get a hold of his driver and that he was becoming concerned because the driver had left his yard at 6.30 AM.

-9.30 AM Harry contacts me demanding a certified cheque or a wire transfer. I agree to the tranfer and he informs me the truck is 5 minutes and would deliver when I had notified him that the transfer was complete.

-Called Harry at 10 AM to inform him the transfer was done. He said the truck was 5 minutes and he would contact the driver and inform him to deliver the shipment.

-10.20 still no truck, 10.30 still no truck 10.45 AM still no truck.

-11 AM I contact Harry again and he gives me the drivers cell phone number (Max). I called the drivers cell phone and no answer.

-11.10 AM Harry contacts me to tell me the driver was answering his cell. I called Max and told me that he had left his yard at 10 AM not 6.30 AM like I was told from Harry. I asked Max where he was and he said Highway 410 and the 401. 30 KMS away from my customer.

-Finally reaches my customer at 11.40 AM and truck is offloaded.

-12 PM I put a stop payment on the wire transfer.

-This piece of equipment was rented to another company who had another truck there for 7 AM expecting this shipment.

-My customer is billing me $1700.00 dollars for the loss of one days rental (Monday) and $550.00 dollars for wait time for the other truck that was there since 7 AM + HST.

-Attached with this email is a copy of my customers bill to me. A copy of my booking order to Canadian Specialized. A copy of my Bill of Lading with a signature that the cheque was received by Dave at Canadian Specialized.

Canadian Specialized Carriers or 2173924 Ontario Inc. did a complete service failure and held my customers freight hostage demanding payment from me. Canadian Specialized did not contact any of my credit references because I followed up with those references and they had never heard of Canadian Specialized Carriers. I would like to open a file so this doesn’t effect my credit on D&B or Eqiufax.

When you decide to screw around with construction that is worth $100, 000 dollars and can cost my customer $2000.00 dollars a day - don't wonder why your not paid?? Do your job and you get paid for it!!!! Never hold freight hostage!!! If anyone would like to see my customers bill for this load which I paid and will collect from Canadian Specialized Carriers - please message me and I will be be happy to forward it to you. And yes I pay carriers net 30. If you have any questions please contact me I have a list longer than my arm.

Never ever - never ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Use this carrier!!!!!!! Harry is a liar!!!! His equipment is old. If you book a load with him expect the upmost bull$!t. Never ever book loads!!!!!!

I am guessing Nawk is Mcmillan Traffic, I don't know if this is Ryan or his Dad but when we picked up the shipment we told you it had to be COD - you gave us a cheque the day before it was suppose to be delivered and your cheque was no good!!! We called you and notified you!!! How do you expect us to deliver this load when your cheque cannot be certified????? Then you told us you would go to the bank and put the money into our account - you put a cheque in that had a stop payment done on it already. Due to the good relations we have with the bank - they let your cheque go through without being put on hold. If they had put the cheque on hold we would've known that you put a cheque and not cash as you promised us!!!

After your phone call the truck was there in 5 mins. Ryan you and your Father are liars!!!!! You owe us $1700.00.

Go check your own thread on this website and you will know!!!!!

Our oldest truck is 2003 and trailer 2001.
If anyone wants to see the proof of the McMillan Traffic cheques and faxes - they can contact us.

Rusk007 identify yourself and tell us which load we lied to you on.

Yes, Drob this account was started by one of the guys that use to haul loads for us and now he works with us in our office and we have merged, We are certainly aware of it and if we had anything to hide we would use another name and account!!

There is always more than one side to a story. I just can't accept someone logging in and simply saying "Don't use XYZ Carrier" without providing their reasons why.

I will be monitoring this topic/discussion - it should come to a close shortly. Side "A" has expressed their concerns and opinions with starting the thread. Side "B" has now addressed those concerns with an explanation.
 
Time to take your dispute somewhere else

I think flatbedder and Just Me need to take their dispute somewhere else and stop using this forum as their form of communication with each other

I also think that flatbedder should have used better judgement then to have given his own company kudos. It just proves that some people have their own agenda and ignore the purpose of this informative site.
