I did. receiver is the one who arrange the load with Plants. owner of receiving end will call me but it does not look good when original broker/carrier is telling you to do whatever you want to do and owner of Plants express Gary Morris does not even want to talk. receiver told me that they received few loads in January and arranged by Plants express. who knows how many people got scammed by these people

Are you saying that the broker who gave the shipment to a provider (under the impression they were a carrier) who rebrokerd the load (to you) and didn't pay up is not coming to bat? They are liable (maybe not so much legally, bot morally) as they selected the carrier (rebroker) who turned out to be sketchy.
I've only had very few instances over the last several years but the only person who should pay twice is the 3PL. Know who you are working with people. Don't just pick the guy who called you randomly and offered you the lowest price to do the job. If it's too good to be true, it usually is!!

Good luck Big T. Sounds like a real class act. I went on that Plants Express website and looked around. I would say Gary Morris is out for Gary Morris only the way of the wording on the website for owner ops etc is written.
Whoever arranged the freight with Gary Morris is still liable is my understanding and I would be hounding the shipper and receiver daily until someone gets Gary to either get off his ass and pay or get Canadian Roadstar too.
I have never had and=y dealings with Canadian Roadstar and will not be thanks for the heads up on them.

Mike, Jr. yes, Plants Express owner Gary Morris refused to come on the line and guy name Kris ( he said op. mngr.) was very rude and refused to help and said these words are from Gary Morris.
but, I was able to contact the owner of receiving warehouse and spoke with him this morning.it is his load and he arranged with Plants Express, he said he has reported to RCMP. He said he has good relation with Gary Morris and he will try to contact him and get back.
I am mad at myself that after picking up load I had feeling that it is going to end like this but, my ethics did not allow me to hold the freight and get paid but this will change my thinking.

Need an advise here.
Garry Morris call me and offer $2000.00. The reason he gave was if I hire collection agency or lawyer, he has to spend that $2000 on his attorney to defend and he will definitely win this against collection agency or lawyer since he has been in the business for 30 years and he "knows all". Do I have good chance here to collect more than $2000 through collection agency?

If you are the carrier of record, and have copies of the Bill of Lading that show you as the carrier and someone, shipper or receiver, as being responsible for the freight charges, then contact a paralegal who specializes in transportation, and go after the responsible party. It should make no difference to you if they have already paid a broker or some other middle man. I assume you did the work and you should be paid. Reach out to Scam Chaser on this site, or some other paralegal for accurate advice on how to proceed.

His problems are not your problems. You have an agreement PERIOD. People who negotiate by threats usually know that YOU have the upper hand. Why should you take less. You negotiated for what you needed for the load and he agreed to pay. Don't back down.

We were doing load for $6000 CAD and Canadian Roadstar was getting $4500 USD from Plants Express. Plants Express owner Garry only call me because his customer had talk with him.

I would say he had no intentions of paying you, personally i would go for it all but that is really a decision you need to make.
