Based on past postal work stoppages in this country, the shortest was 35, before the union was legislated back to work and back then both sides where closer than they are today. We've had ones in the past that exceeded 35 days. I'm expecting this one to last until AFTER the holiday season. They walked at this time of the year to make a point. They aren't going to voluntary go back to work unless their labor demands are met, and from what I hear CP has no immediate intentions of meeting the demands of the union. They are still miles apart as of this a.m. as per word on the street.Seems like this strike is lasting longer than expected, how is everyone dealing with their US payments? seems like everyone is using snail mail to pay Canadian carriers.
Best time to make a impact is peak season... lose 3 bil over a few years... market share drops to under 29% and posties want more money... and we wonder why Canada post has issues... its pretty damn obvious.
