I may be wrong but my guess is that 90% of the members or more on this forum trade on LINK or DAT.
We should request that LINK pay a monthly fee to INSIDE TRANSPORT for the up to date credit reference this site provides its paying members.
There should also be a daily perusal of the bad payers forum by a LINK staff member.
There should then be a report available the next day regarding the actions they have taken regarding that delinquent client!!

This could be as near to UTOPIA as I can expect.

That would be nice, but it's never going to happen. Think about it from Loadlink's point of view. The minute they start assessing carriers/brokers creditworthiness for their members they become responsible. Can you just imagine the lawyers getting a hold of it. "Well, your honor, this poor carrier went on load link and assumed that all the members were credit worthy as load link regularly does credit checks on their members. This poor carrier lost $50,000 to one of Load Link's members and we are holding Load Link responsible".

FYI - Link is on this forum. All posts regarding bad or non paying brokers is perused and cited as a very valuable resource.

The benefit of this information works both ways - for Link's account staff to monitor accordingly and for us "regular" working folk and forum contributors.
