I have 4 skids of plastic out of Brooklyn, NY to come to my dock in Simcoe, ON.
Skid dims are 48" x 40" x 56" tall, weighing4,876 lbs each.
Who can do this for me, and what's it going to cost ?

Thanks Mike,

As discussed, it's an exception to the rule for us to take freight from a carrier, but for you?? You service the heel out of us when we hook up on a load, least we can do is help a guy in need.

I'm waiting for Rob to shit all over me for taking freight from a carrier then giving it to another carrier... Please be nice Rob!!

Keep well,
Mike

Don't need to you did just fine yourself there Co-Broker2 lol.... I will also help a guy out that does not have the link like Mr Ludwig. I just do it in a different way. I do a carrier search and give him the carriers names. He repays me by paying well on the stuff I do for him.

Thanks for your opinion Rob,

Just to clarify - I gave Mike some carrier names (from recent memory), he asked me to take care of it for him so we gladly did. I would not use Starship's Link account to help another party as it's contrary to the TransCore terms and conditions and you could have your account pulled. For the record I also told him the margin I would add to the order over my payable, full disclosure is the only way to go in a case like this.

Keep well sir,
Mike

I honestly have no problem with how it was done as it is not your business model. I am not under any misconceptions that lots of the freight hauled by carriers has had more than one piece of the pie taken before it gets to us. I do have a problem(as everyone knows) with brokers that have no customers and scour the US boards and repost on Canadian board and or try and come off as a carrier and build a business over a 20 plus year period and then finally admit that all along they never did have a trucking company they have a double broker company.

Ironically that's the problem with freight that might be paying a little better than average: you get people calling you who misrepresent themselves as carriers and attempt to re-broker your freight. I've had that happen a few times, but luckily my shippers help me catch them. I tell my shippers what trucking co. I'm sending in, and if the name on the truck is any different than what I gave them my shippers contact me. 9 times out of 10 I'll still use the truck, but I will deal with him directly and cut out the fake carrier who called me in the first place. Sure they get pissed off but I laugh at them as they have a fit on the phone. One of them threatened to see me in court.. I told him to consider it a date.. but in the end he stood me up.
