So how do you go about to a Carrier that they need to respect the Consignees Washrooms?
How About Carriers that Charge for Load Assist but sit in the truck?
What About Carriers that take a load and hold on to it forever because the reload Cancelled?
Why is it that a carrier once they have the load on the truck they think they own it and can do what they want with it?
Why Do Carriers Charge and freak out about an extra hour on a load but show up a day late and still expect the detention?

Now Brokers and Shippers and Consignees alike have to endure this type of service while paying a premium price Why?
Why is it when something is brought up like tardiness or lack of communication and or simply just asking for a discount it turns into a you did this you did that the price of Fuel why is it always a big deal.

Should a Customer be able to Charge a carrier for Cleaning Services because their driver destroyed their bathroom?
Should a Customer be able to ask for compensation for Tardiness ?
Should a Broker be able to do these deductions for the customer?

Why is it that a load can be agreed upon both seller and taker agreed. But it never seems to go that way ?

Why does it always seem to be everything under the Sun as to Why a carrier or broker couldn't Full fill their obligations but want full dollar.
Where has Integrity and Respect Gone on All Sides.

I get the current State right now is not good but this is where the Service and the Dollar needs to Match here is to hoping the Trucking Services of Old where customer is first professionalism is abundant and they get what they pay for.

I know you are not new to them game. Point of view as a broker

-Consignee can post a sign on the washroom door or limit them to which ones are used.
-have the shipper/consignee write on the POD who loaded/unloaded so they can't charge for it.

-What About Carriers that take a load and hold on to it forever because the reload Cancelled?
- Turns into a DNU if not properly communicated
-Why is it that a carrier once they have the load on the truck they think they own it and can do what they want with it?
-not all do, you need to have a good relationship with them and good communication.
Why Do Carriers Charge and freak out about an extra hour on a load but show up a day late and still expect the detention?
-If LTL, they were likely held up and missed a pick up/delivery for another customer, happens on both sides.
-If FTL same thing, maybe they missed a pick or delivery for their next load due to the time delays and shipping/receiving hours.

Why is it when something is brought up like tardiness or lack of communication and or simply just asking for a discount it turns into a you did this you did that the price of Fuel why is it always a big deal.
You need to have a good relationship with them, if they do this on the regular then its a problem, if it's a one off then you take a hit here or there, its a partnership. Some give/some take.
Offer to split things or show you're working with them not against them.

Should a Customer be able to Charge a carrier for Cleaning Services because their driver destroyed their bathroom?
Difficult to manage, some just don't let the driver use their bathrooms at all, however then google reviews pop up for other drivers to let them or know drivers will just go outside the building which is a no no, but if they're there and have to wait 2+hours, what are they going to do.
Should a Customer be able to ask for compensation for Tardiness?
Some do
Should a Broker be able to do these deductions for the customer?
-Some do, depends on the situation/relationship you have with the carrier. Maybe you lower your margin to do a solid for the carrier since its a partnership. It's all give/take.

Why is it that a load can be agreed upon both seller and taker agreed. But it never seems to go that way ?
- was communication clear? Things happen on the road, you have to just adapt to it and work through it, mistakes are going to happen, its how you work through it and move on that will set you apart.
Why does it always seem to be everything under the Sun as to Why a carrier or broker couldn't Full fill their obligations but want full dollar.

-It all depends on the situation i will lower my margin if i feel the customer should have a discount or even go out of pocket if the issue was that severe or not their fault. Whatever keeps my relationship with my customer is important however as a broker I work with a lot of carriers so my relationship with them is also important, depending on the carrier of course. You also learn their quirks, there are some that tell me 3-5 days transit, i know this is incorrect so i will automatically add 2+ days of wiggle room.

I get the current State right now is not good but this is where the Service and the Dollar needs to Match here is to hoping the Trucking Services of Old where customer is first professionalism is abundant and they get what they pay for.
-there's too many new carriers in the game, its best to use the ones you have good relationships with and create new ones with carriers who are worth it.

To avoid some of the annoying nuisances you mentioned, partner with suppliers who understand the basic concept that we all have our job to do. The object of any business enterprise, broker or carrier, is make a profit, continuously, not just a “one and done”. To do that, the relationship should be more than..”do you have a truck and what’s your rate.” You may hear some people say, “ oh well, you have to put everything in writing”, as if that will somehow prevent the unfortunate event from ever occurring. It doesn’t, it only provides a mechanism to resolve or clean up the damage caused. The long and the short of this is…whenever there are humans and machines involved, you can take a few steps to minimize it but you can never completely prevent…shit from happening.

Sorry bud but sounds to me like you take the lowest priced option and get what you pay for.

Now that being said poop happens trucks are machines and machines break and delays happen. A good carrier will inform you of issues as they arise or first thing the next am if middle of the night. Want A1 service hire top notch well run carriers. The price may not be cheap but it will get done..
