Just wondering if any one has had any luck with Breakaway paying their bills. We have 3 outstanding and no one seems to be answering the phone there. If you also have an alternate number than the one I have I would appreciate it. The number I have is: 905-465-9647:confused:

Breakaway

Promised payment for weeks, cheque has been in the mail since the first week of March. Still no cheque.................95 days and counting.
 
They sent us two post dated cheques for 1 invoice, the first one bounced. We tried to go the cheque re-presentment route and the account the cheques were written on is now closed...:mad:
 
We have had so many cheques in the mail and they never show up. Kevin said he had one in the mail on March 11. Have not seen it. Going to go after customer and take them to court if need be. Hope we are not out $2000 but it sure looks that way. Crappy way to do business.:(

BREAKAWAY FREIGHT SERVICES INC or BREAKAWAY LOGISTICS or INTERNET FREIGHT or CLOVER SYSTEMS it's the same guy that goes by the name of KEVIN, former name PATRICK.
 
Nothing to do with Internet Freight 6334 Viscount Rd Missisauga though...correct?
 
What to do next??

I did a load for this guy in March on two week terms. It became obvious very quickly that he was full of it. He is no longer answering calls, the link has since turned his account off, and the list of companies looking for him is growing.

I have already reported to Transcore and am preparing to send to collections (I doubt that will help though).

Does anyone have advice on the steps I should take to get paid for the load and/or find this guy and make him accountable in some way?
Have him investigated, call police, hold shipper accountable, etc..?

I have read the posts and have his cell and know that his office is run from a UPS suite - does anyone have additional information on him??
