Anyone out there know what has happened to BobCan Express from Richmond Hill? 10 West Pearce Street, Unit # 2. I have an invoice from August 2009 and nothing but voicemail messages.

Invoice their clients directly, that's what I did and so far have recouped about 85% of what's owed.
Bob Canada is yet another POS who is in hiding. You will never get anyone on the phone, I have even gone into their office, nobody there.
Lodge a complaint with Load Link too.

Someone called me today from a company called "Bell & Bob Transport" and nearly laughed my ass off...I didn't give them the freight. I did find them in link:

Boss physically went to their office and lo and behold, they up and left the place. There's another office (I assume Unit #1 there) and the guy who leases the space was in. When my boss inquired as to the whereabouts of the business that was here, the gentleman simply said "They up and left about 2 or 3 months ago and they owe me rent!"
Looks like I'm not the only one that got screwed
. Contacted the shipper that I did a lot of work with and of course, they paid the bill to Bob Canada and have the proof to verify that. Argh. Looks like I gotta find someone to serve some papers too.
Any one else have some insight or input?

I just wanted to say thanks for the replies to my original post. I now know that my invoice will most likely never get paid. I'm just glad that I wasn't in too deep with them, only one invoice.

I went and met with the shipper for my loads with Bob Canada. Great guys. We compared notes and noticed one major thing (among others)... The rate that the shipper was paying was the exact same rate that was promised to my trucks. Interesting... we are now acting on the assumption of fraud and have made a call to the police. We're scheduled to know more as of this coming Monday.

You would be better off going after the shipper or consignee.
Bob Canada is another one that has flown the coop.
If you do find them however, there are plenty of folks on here who would love to know where.

but shipper apparently already paid the bill...wouldn't be fair to expect him to pay twice..Would be better to track down bob of bob Canada and get him to pay it. Get his last name and track him down.

I have to say everyone should have been scared away by the name, I would say just about everytime someone comes out with a stupid company name like Bob Canada they end up screwing you.
As far as not being fair that the shipper already paid the bill they are the ones that fell for this guys act so why are you the one who will loose?

sounds to me like the shipper and the carrier BOTH fell for Bob's act..and maybe everything checked out just fine before the freight moved. So far no mention of Bob's bond..was this a US shipment?...what about bob's trust account? People don't vanish into thin air and my guess is Bob isn't hiding out with bin Ladin somewhere in the hills of Pakistan..most likely bob has a last name, a family, a mortgage somewhere. Tracking him down shouldn't be all that difficult unless he living somewhere as a homeless person or he has died.

All of the above owned by a group of friends. We had done about 6K plus in shipments last year and we got paid for 3 small invoices. If you noticed all of their shipments; they would either have Atlantic Pallets or Amazon Wood Products as the consignee or shipper. THey bought pallets on credit from manufacturers and used us truckers to move the freight to one of their locations. They never paid the manufacturers and never paid trucking companies. Bob Canada is gone, and Amazon has also been shut down, and guess what? all of those pallets are now sitting @ Atlantic Pallets for sale. All in all, they have scammed everyone and are now selling those "stolen" pallets. It took me 2 months to gather all this information. Atlantic Pallets is located @ 99 Rodinea Rd, in Maple (Keele and Teston Rd). If you contact them, they will pretend like they dont know what's going on.
