Big City Freight Brokers

This is the same guy I think that ran a reefer company back in the mid 1990's out of the Oshawa/Port Perry area. I can't remember the name of his company ( I want to say National Traffic but can't say for sure) but he had a bad reputation for not paying his bills back then.

I remember National out of Port Perry and their "payment terms" or lack of. It is unbelievable that this guy is still around.

National rings a bell for sure. I remember now, it was reefer freight and the way we got paid at the time is by having a reciprocal agreement. So I guess someone got screwed in the end.

I do remember he was bad-ass. And come to think of it ... there was a connection with Bill Masters too.

Stoiou

Hi:
National Traffic was his company as well. I remember it from some of the history in his bankruptcy. Regards,

Big City Freight

We have been advised from the business partner here in Ontario that invested $25,000 to Mr Stoiou.

Mr. Stoiou left Ontario and his creditors to hide out in British Columbia,
however,
previously he bilked a B.C. company out of $100,000.
and he is at present serving 90 days in jail in British Columbia.

We have not substantiated this yet, but are searching in B.C. for any printed validity.

Cher,
Looks to me like Mr. Stoiou's business partner and parents are in on whatever sceme he's pulling off this time.
Don't bother looking for him in BC, he was in my office on the first week of April.
Now, I'm chasing him down as well.
I should've done a simple Google search before dealing with this scumbag.

This Christopher Peter Stoiou scammed me....

Lent him $25k to start a new business and I hate myself for not doing simple google searches before starting this venture with him.

I am determined to find this guy and bring him to justice.

He can't be just getting off so easily for a few months in jail when he bilked hundreds of thousands from people across this country.

I saw him last year October in person a few times. When he disappeared with my money and gave me nothing but bull excuses, I went to the 24 Manor Street address just to find out he sold the property to a young couple. Good news was his sister lived right next door.

I knocked and she said she does not have ANY ties with him whatsoever anymore.

Just throwing out an idea, people that got scammed by him should all meet up and pool their resources together and find this guy. It's hard for one person to find him but alot easier if a bunch of us look for him at the same time.

I hope he gets run over by a bus or something. Seems like karma never catches up to the ones that deserves it the most.

I've been taking loads from this company for 3 years and never had a problem. I run my own truck and trailer and they give me cash advances with no surcharge and always pay COD.
And the remark that the poster made about lending the owner 25,000.00 is a completely bogus lie. I know Chris Stoiou and he never borrows from anyone. In fact I know several owner operators that borrow from him.
Anyone slamming Big City Brokers has nothing better to do.
Get a life.

My question is for the man.
You say Chris is a crook for 20 years. What experience have you had that would make you say that.
I'm not talking about something you heard from someone else. I'm asking about something you actually went through. Because I have never had a negative with this guy. And they're several independents that work for him and get paid no problem. He has very good paying freight.

I don't remember the exact specifics about what he did (for all I know it's you) but it goes back to the days when I was involved in the produce hauling game. Chris was involved at the time as a company that did a combination of brokering fruit and brokering trucks ... namely melons. Getting paid at all was a nightmare and almost always was short paid once we did get a settlement. Sort of like how Bill Masters was but on a smaller scale.

I'm like an elephant ... once a bad experience sticks in my mind, I never forget it.

To the man

So in fact you are not owed any money by Chris Stoiou. Just what I thought. You say you don't remember the specifics. But you still try to slander and discredit Chris for no reason.
Your life must be a sad and miserable existence.
Why don't you post some facts instead of the fiction you dream up. You don't have any facts.
Me and several owner operators make our living and pay our bills because of Chris Stoiou. THATS A FACT.
Why don't you find something better to do.
You're obviously a total loser.

Is this the same Chris Stoiou who was arrested for cattle fraud in Ontario in 2010 and out west in 2008? If that is the case, I suggest anyone thinking of doing business with Big City Freight Brokers to do a google search of the man.

Also, in 2011 the Michael Walker Law Office was looking for anyone who had done business with Chris StoIOU / Big City Freight Brokers and was owed money. They had several clients (truckers) who were still looking to be paid.

Truth, being new to this forum you might want to stick to facts and forget about name calling. Once you start name calling your argument loses any credibility.
Most of the long standing members on this form have long memories for how they were treated by people. Good and bad. I value their opinions more than people who get into trash talking.

I am sticking to the facts. " the man " is making up stories.
The fact is that me and several owner operators haul freight for Chris Stoiou and we get paid regularly without a problem. That's a fact. THEMAN has no facts. If you read what he wrote he couldn't even remember any specifics. Just a lot of hot air.
That's the facts.
I don't like it when people make up stories.
If someone has had a DIRECT bad experience. Then go ahead and post it with details. Don't post something you heard or thought you heard.
You're right. STICK TO THE FACTS.
Stoiou runs a good business.

THE MAN. Your last sentence suggests you don't forget anything, While your first sentence starts with , i don't remember. Do you have any of the facts. It s not fair when people make vague statements, or statements that can't be supported. I don't know either one of you, but i do see many people making false comments on many occasions, some to which i know are not true.

I do remember having to chase him back when I was in the operations and finance part of the business. He was definitely involved in watermelons, as a hybrid broker of the fruit and the trucks. Any time (and it wasn't that often) that I had to chase, get the runaround, and get shit on by my employer for not being able to collect sticks out. The only thing that I don't remember was what his company was called back then, and how much money we got stiffed on. But one doesn't forget a name like Chris Stoiou.

I don't dwell on these things from so long ago but it doesn't mean I forget or will be engaged with him on any level. If you don't trust what I'm saying, then ignore it. I cannot force myself on you.

To " theman"

You make no sense at all.
You are trying to slam Stoiou on the basis of something you really don't remember and from so long ago.
These are your own words sir.
You really are out of line.
I showed these posts to Stoiou and he laughed. He has NEVER been a buyer or seller of watermelons at any produce. He has trucked them but never bought them. Further he has no idea who Bill Masters is.
Your information is completely false and incorrect.
You obviously have nothing better to do. It's sad.
Like I said in my earlier post. There are several owner operators like me who make a good living working for Chris Stoiou.
He pays us quickly. His rates are excellent. And he has plenty of freight.
What you "imagine " happened long ago, and that's what you said , is irrelevant. I think you should find another hobby. Maybe take up knitting.

It seems like someone just found the internet and can't let things go, it seems to me the more you protest the less likely people are going to believe you. Truth hopefully you always get paid what you are owed but remember this site when you do not get paid and use it to your benefit. Truth be told i'm sick of this thread.

Good Day All,

Mr Stoiou is alive, well and it it again.

He has started another trucking company called Steel Road Transport based out of Moose Jaw SK.

please make all your clients aware and if you are an independent carrier NEVER haul for this company.
