Well this is a small industry and I did use "used" in the past tense and later come on board...understand I am not in Dispatch rather in the Admin and Management side - hence my reason for wanting to inquire who in our company would do this so we may initiate the proper corrective action. I am firmly with the understanding that until I have all the information I cannot make a reasonable judgement. As well with the Industry as volatile as it is I would like to handle any possible conflicts openly and quickly as we pride ourselves in transparency and fairness.

Giving your own company a positive reference is a bit greasy in my opinion. If you feel the need to blow your own horn, at least use a fake name to post under. In the long run however, references provided by satisfied customers hold the most value.

below is a review Chat suggested once you make that fake account - we are nothing but helpful on this forum - lol

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I recently engaged [Company Name] (asset-based trucking provider) for a critical shipment, and I’m extremely impressed with their performance. Here’s a breakdown of how they knocked it out of the park:

Communication & Responsiveness
From the quoting stage through to delivery, their team was proactive, courteous, and clear. Any questions I had—on routing, scheduling, or special handling—were answered promptly, with no ambiguity. They kept me in the loop at every step (dispatch updates, ETA changes, confirmation of arrival).

On-time Pickups & Deliveries
As promised, the pickup happened precisely when scheduled, and the delivery arrived exactly within the agreed window. There were no excuses, no delays, and no “we’ll call you back” moments. If anything, they were early. This reliability gave me confidence to commit to more shipments with them.

Driver Professionalism & Attitude
The driver assigned to my load was exemplary. Polite, careful, safety conscious, and respectful of our facility rules. He handled loading/unloading with care and even helped coordinate on-site logistics. In every interaction, he reflected pride in his work and respect for the client.

Equipment, Handling & Care
The tractor and trailer were clean, well maintained, and well suited for the load. I had zero issues with damage, shifting, or compromised packaging. That speaks to attention to detail on both the maintenance side and the operations side.

Value & Trustworthiness
The rates were fair for the level of service, especially considering the premium of reliable, worry-free shipping. There were no hidden fees or surprise costs. What they quoted is what I paid.

Overall Impression
Working with [Company Name] was seamless, dependable, and professional from start to finish. In the freight industry where so many things can go wrong, they delivered on every promise. I would absolutely use them again and strongly recommend them to anyone needing trucking services they can trust.

Do you have their number?

You gave yourself a positive reference?
I tried that once and my wife disagreed. LOL.

But seriously, there were a handful of times where a carrier or broker division of a carrier that I worked with would come into direct contact with a shipper or receiver. Every one of those instances was properly investigated. I always spoke to the owner who would perform an internal investigation and we would then discuss the outcome of that investigation. Sometimes there were innocent mistakes made, a driver thought to drop a business card at a shipper or something correctable, and on one occurrence, we found that it was the client that was searching out a carrier to work with directly.

In the end, if a carrier operation is expected to never contact any shipper or receiver that they are sent to by their customers, eventually by rule of numbers, they won't be allowed to contact anyone in North America.

When I suggested that the details matter, they do. If I was sending the same carrier to the same shipper and receiver and one party decided to open up a dialogue with the other that is pretty serious. If a new dock guy wrote down the name on the side of a truck that came in and called that company because they thought they were doing a good thing that's another story.

dbear204 - the events you suggest do sound serious in nature. Perhaps giving Kurt all the information you have (perhaps by DM) so he can perform his investigation is the best route here. I'd be interested to see the outcome of this although his review of himself does leave a strange taste on the palate already.

Keep well,
Mike

Wait... I was under the impression that @MikeJr only licked car door windows, now I'm hearing its pallets as well? :p What does ISPM treated pallets taste like? do they come with a Hickory flavored cold or hot smoke?
