Wow. I guess that would be a company that as a sales rep I wouldn't want to work for. If they begrudge the broker for taking a cut, they'd begrudge paying sales staff too.

A carrier asking permission to direct solicit your client is kinda like your buddy asking you if it's all right to ask out your girlfriend. In their minds they think they are being honest and upfront. In reality they are being honest and upfront jerks.
