Good morning, thought I would pass this along so that anyone doing business with Imi @ B2B Global goes in with their eyes open. On Feb 17th I booked an order with Imi out of Mississauga to Terre Haute, IN. This was booked as a Thursday P/U and Monday delivery. The confirmation was received and was clearly marked deliver Monday the 21st. Freight was picked up on time and truck left on the weekend. As we usually end up in TN the Terre Haute drop was the driver’s first on Monday. The driver called me at 9AM saying that no one was at the receiver and the neighbor told him they were closed for Presidents Day. I called B2B and left a message explaining the situation(Which they never returned) then I called the receiver twice and left a message with two different people that the truck was at their location and was there any chance of delivering. Long story short the driver delivered first thing on Tuesday morning. On Tuesday I spoke to Imi and told him that we needed and extra$100 for the layover. He told me that he had to check with the receiver and make sure they were closed and would get back to me. Well guess what? To this day Imi has not called me back, we have tried to call him numerous times and he is either out of the office or on the phone and will return messages. After a couple of weeks we invoiced for the freight amount plus the layover. Since that time we have called on numerous occations and Imi is not there and his partner does not have the authority to deal with the situation. Today we called again and were told that Imi was on the phone, we insisted on holding for him. After being on hold for close to 5 minutes we were told that Imi was now not in the office. We were then told that a cheque for $500 dollars not $600 was waiting to be signed and unless we sent a revised invoice for the original amount ($500) the cheque would not be signed, end of story. Because we have wasted so much time and effort already we are sending a revised invoice for the $500 and eating the $100 we paid the driver. Be very careful if you do business with this unethical person, I would hate for anyone else to have to put up with his crap.

Just for the fun of it, why don't you invoice his customer for the $100.00. For the price of a stamp and an envelope, who knows, they might pay you.

That's a great idea, might as well. Thanks...

We declined them credit due to their poor references and horrible D&B score.

No COD either - wasn't worth the admin hassle....

I can't believe that someone thinks/believes that a driver is ONLY worth $100 for a 24 hour delay that wasn't his/her responsibility! The fact that you were looking for ZERO renumeration for your equipment is another glaring fact!

Driver shortage my butt!

Nowhere in my post will you find the words “what I think a driver is worth”. I would love to charge $65 per hour for the 24hrs and give the whole amount to my guy. Would that make you feel better Ralph? Unfortunately what I want to do and being realistic aren’t quite the same thing. What my post was about was a freight broker who made a mistake and refused to act responsibly about it, end of story. If you want to get into a pissing match about how unfair I am to my drivers please let me know.

A couple of thoughts on this post.

1. There's three other threads showing B2B as broker you should avoid.
2. My calender shows Feb 21st as a holiday but a call ahead is always a good idea. He could have sat there 24hrs for not having an appt.
3. Lots of people are closed this Friday and/or Monday so everyone call ahead and route their trucks accordingly.
