We gave B&G a load back in July/09. We paid B&G on Aug/09. Found out today that they double broker the load. The other carrier has a factoring company and the factoring company was going to take legal action against our customer. B&G was billed from the finance company and keeps promising to pay. But, you know no cheque. I have heard today that a lot of the factoring companies want nothing to do with them. I was also told that the owner of B&G has another company that he is opening up at the same location and everything. The company name is SMG. Beware of them too.
 
We had 1 invoice with them - took 70 days to pay...no issue other than a little slow - received payment in September so they were paying at that point...
 
We use to do alot with B+G couple years ago. Last order was June-08. We cut them off when we learned that they were double brokering. There may be a link to Grace Logistics as well. Also, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out SMG is probably Sunny, Money, Gill.....the contacts listed......
 
This stuff is all too easy to avoid, with a little communication. Shippers HAVE to know who they are supposed to load.

EXACTLY. Let the shipper know who is pickuing up...truck must display carrier NAME and ID numbers such as USDOT..
