Wanted to share my spectacular weekend(yet again getting screwed by a lying dispatch). Had 2skds hot freight, from Regina, needing to be in NJ for Tuesday. Atlantic Gateway wanted it, "no problem it will pick up Friday by noon and deliver to you Monday am."(so i could transfer it out to destination for Teusday) "We have teams. " Noon Friday tracing call revealed they were about 1 hour out. Then 645pm shipper calls - still no truck. Atlantic advises there team is in Calgary (8hrs out) and can the shipper come in first thing tomorrow for loading "we'll pay him cash". We'll have drivers call shipper after 7am. 10am still no call to shipper, so i call them. " Too bad team got filled out, not going to be able to pick up." For this, i waited on hold 15mins. They couldn't advise why they told us it would be there in an hour yesterday.
It was 2 skds - I'm not understanding why on Friday we were'nt told the truth and given the opportunity to get this hot freight to destination on time. 2skds. Hardly enough freight to make or break a load.
This was a first shipment from this customer for us, probably the last.
Atlantic Gateway International, Concord Ontario, lied to us, when it really counted. Beware with any time sensitive freight.
We appreciate all you guys who tell the truth, no matter what. it's not always easy to take, but it's appreciated.
