Andy Logistic Inc

I am disappointed to have to post this as we used Andy Transport regularly for years. Until they backdoored us while hauling multiple loads for us.

We always paid a premium for the service and always paid within terms but they apparently decided it would be more lucrative to try and go direct.

Thankfully, our client was loyal and respected our contract and turned them away. No more Andy for us.

That's my 2 cents...

yeah for us they always wanted extra charges, they were always trying to find a way to up the rates after the load was picked up or delivered.

also they charge $1.50 per MINUTE for waiting time! that's $90/hr!!!

we simply stopped using their services back in 2009, glad to see we made the right choice before they started back dooring us too!

GROCH if you think $90.00/Hr is to much then you are a prime example of what is wrong with this industry. I give one hr free time on each end after that its $220.00 per hr after 8 hrs its a flat rate of $2200.00 per day with the day starting and ending at midnight. I state it in my quotes and i have never been refused pymt. on any extra charges.

Just my 2 pennies worth

I was a carrier for 3 years and I didn't work with this company because I saw on the LINK that they didn't have a good score. So I didn't trust them.

But few months ago a friend of ours told me that Andy Logistics was looking to open a warehouse in Mississauga and they were looking for somebody here in Toronto to manage this wharehouse.

So my husband sold his truck and started to work with them in Mississauga. They promised a fair salary and they said they will increase after few a months.

BUT AFTER 4 WEEKS THEY CUT HIS SALARY AND THEY DIDN'T PAY THE ALL HOURS. THEY SAID MY HUSBAND DIDN'T HAVE SKILLS AND BLAH BLAH BLAH. BUT DURING THE 3 YEARS WHEN WE WORKED LIKE A CARRIER WITH THE BEST COMPANY FROM CANADA AND THE USA - NOBODY COMPLAINED. NEVER IN 3 YEARS!!!

My husband was doing shipping/receiving , shunting and city driving for Andy. He worked 70hrs/week, he slept there a few nights - to do the right job. He did EVERYTHING and they said they had to cut his salary because he wasn't good enough!!!!

So this the story with Andy Logistics. Now my husband got another job - he works for a very RESPECTABLE company from Oakville and this company is very happy to keep him!

My advice is stay away from them!!!!

Lady Janet was your Husband the driver for Lady Transport? If so he was one of the best drivers I have ever used.

slightly off topic reply...

but no we pay after 1hr on LTL and 2hrs on TL.

every load is different depending on our clients and contracts with those clients, we usually advise our carriers before sending a load confirmation over.
 
Unreal these people................take load Scarborough to MTL, call both shipper and receiver telling them they will not service overnight and will not pick up on time need someone to stay until midnight........................meanwhile all that time telling our tracer that truck is stuck at delivery in Pickering but will make it to load and deliver on time..............I've been away from our 3PL division a few months BUT Andy is back on our DNU..................
 
I'll chime in real quick as my previous post (3 years ago) was rather favourable and so was the service at the time...

Since then, they have made it to our DNU (lack of communication and several cancellations)...
