Allegro Freight Services

She was kind of surprised when she called here 15 minutes ago and I told her I won't even quote them. She asked why and I said really?? It is kind of unbelievable they get anything moved some people must not have the credit on their link accounts.
 
Dealt with them a few years ago easy to get money " tell them you will be reporting them to Load Link and see how quick they cut a cheque. If they get booted off load link they are in real trouble.

Is there anything new about Allegro? Just had a "new" person over there call me for quotes, I told her I couldn't because my accounting department wouldn't let me. She said she didn't know about their past credit history, or she just didn't care. I haven't seen Allegro posting for a while, figured they were gone finally.
 
Did one move for them five years ago...waited 9 months to get paid....had to go to Milton to p/u cheque from their office...waited 40 mts...when they handed me the cheque...I told them two things...this cheque better not bounce...and do not ever call me again.....cashed the cheque that day at their bank...and never looked back.....words of wisdom from this old dispatcher...hang up on them....they are what makes this business bad...

Just did a move for them. Told them the only way was COD. It actually went well. Jury is still out but maybe they realize their reputation is their business.
 
Took forever to get money out of them. They gave every excuse in the book (didn't receive paperwork... next cheque run... boss is on vacation, can't sign cheque, etc....) after 4 months of chasing them I finally showed up at their office demanding my money. Cheque had been cut 4 months prior, they just refused to release it!!! My advice... RUN!
 
Only DBD (Deposit before Delivery) with us. We had the same issue as Kate2387 below. We have done one shipment as DBD and it went OK.
