Based on two bad experiences, I think it's worth knowing using Akita Equipment is not a wise decision. I have used them twice and both times they held freight hostage to increase charges. I know other people who have dealt with them and experienced the same thing. Also, they charge American customers in USD after agreeing on a price in CAD, which gets costly when thousands of dollars are involved. And, of course, the freight showed up damaged and they take no responsibility. By far the worst transportation company I have ever dealt with.

It's worth noting that the Jon Sila account shows it joined July 2017 and last seen Sept 2017. The OP was Aug 2017 and probably made the account just to post this due to a bad taste in their mouth and later boast about their own company Triple Gold Trucking.
