Do yourself a favour and avoid this carrier.
Picked up a flatbed load yesterday to deliver to Vaughan this morning for 7:30am for installer unload.
Carrier says they had mechanical problems, can't hold the load.
Too bad, deliver Monday 7am, nobody there.
Demands $1000 for their failure because they have to forego work.
Not sure if they have done this elsewhere but they are not getting extra.

Thats what happens when you choose the cheapest option!!!
happy Friday!!!!
Not every time. We have had instances where the higher priced option screwed up famously. A much better indication of service is the quality of references received from previous users. Sometimes the load you have available is a perfect match for a carrier trying to re-position his equipment, and as a result offers a somewhat lower rate than the competition. I understand the temptation to paint all lower priced options as being substandard and of inferior quality, and in some cases they are exactly that, however price alone shouldn’t and doesn’t determine the level of service.

Sorry guys, but this site isn’t the place to fight out personal vendettas or to try and right some perceived wrong. We are all best served by limiting our comments to matters of service, payments and other general observations of our industry. If someone has received excellent or terrible service, please name names. If someone is tardy in their payments or participates in criminal activity, call them out. Other than that, use the private message function to carryon with your discussion. It is usually of little interest to anyone other than the parties involved.

There were a couple of off topic posts in this thread that have been removed. They are not gone forever, feel free to petition Admin if you want them unlocked.

I've got excited a few times myself in the past and maybe said some things that I regret... Lets keep the personal personal and the business business.

Keep well,
Mike

Can't believe I didn't see before booking this carrier... AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Their driver was at the shipper and decides to pull driver after waiting only 1.5 hrs. Absolutely ridiculous..

It seems that carrier names that include the word "KIng" are almost always DNU because they are terrible for one reason or another.

Well......
I don't want to say that this is acceptable by any means, nor do I want to defend the carrier, but we have all been in this position before where 1.5 hours quickly turns into 2, 4, 8 hours. All with promises to pay detention and, "we'll take care of you". Only to find out that max pay is $50.00, sorry the customer did not approve, or you didn't get the shipper to sign the detention.
Every case is different, I'm sure, but if you get the feeling that this isn't getting resolved quickly or the shipper has no clue why the driver is there, sometimes it's better cut your losses and move on. Of course, it's better to have the conversation with the broker and decide that together, but sometimes the broker is the problem. (Like when they tell you the appointment is at 7am when it is actually at 1.45pm - we're not Livingston.)

This carrier on our DNU list. We used them a few years ago, worst experience ever. We had them on a load, they provided all proper updates with eta, 1 hour before pick up, they cancel on us.
