We just used a new carrier named AJX Fast Freight.
They did not provide the correct service that was asked for
Then after the fact wanted more money for a driver doing his job.
The carrier then threatened to sue us due to the extra min money that they were asking for.
Please be careful using this carrier!!!!!!
 
I am here to reply for both posting: 1st posting indicates that we want more money for the driver doing his job. The truth is YES we want more money is because the driver hand bomb the 2 skids himself in a snow storm in Ottawa last week. Also I asked the broker CONNECT LOGISTICS if it is dock to dock and his response is: No worries this is a very easy job just drop and it is dock to dock. Meanwhile the locations is in a Plaza and it is a restaurant with no dock and the receiver notified me that he is by himself so he needs the driver to help him. So I called Connect Logistics to inform him about the situations and notified him that $100 extra charge will apply and driver will do it. His reply was - Please go ahead and no worries about the extra charge I will pay it. I need this delivered! Our truck had a hard time getting in and out of the plaza because of the SNOW STORM!!! We delivered it on time and driver never give hassle to the receiver. If anybody wants a freight to be hand bomb please notify the trucking because injuries may occur and we need to bring the right person who can do the job. Dock to Dock is totally different from Hand Bomb. This is not for free!

2nd post: I was just doing the right job by notifying Northam Logistics that we had problems with the truck Thursday night at around 11:45pm. Driver notified us that he cannot do the job, truck have problems with brakes and sometime this happens. I did everything to find another truck but all my trucks are already accounted for. I right away called him and left a message and sent him an email about the situations and apologizing him for any inconvenience. I called him again around 5am and sent email again to make sure. I have not heard from him and hopefully covered the freight. I think I did the right thing. Other customers that day returned my email and thanking me for early notifications.

We are here to provide and excellent service to our customer. We feel that a reply needed to be done to explain our side of the story. I hope for all people reading this post is to give us a chance to work and do the right thing. I appreciate all your understanding about the situations.
 
Given the situation without a response about the complaint I would be happy to give you a shot if I have freight moving in that corridor. You did your job and the driver sounds like busted his ass as well.
