Airgroup Express, Surrey BC

Used them recently on a order from OK to BC LTL
On our DNU list now and probably for ever.
Rarely been that lied for 1 shipment in my career....

We gave them 1 in 2010 and 1 in 2013....both went well. Things must have changed over there. I do know they use a lot of TL carriers within the US to pickup their Over the Road freight not always they're own trucks. FYI.

At least, they are not using regular lies like truck broke down, driver out of hours, more freight at the other shipper no room left, stuck at the consignee for a delivery, delivery refused have to come back to Canada with his freight, stuff like that...they are pretty original, we have to give them that....

Approx 30 shipments 2012-2013 - Airgroup does a spectacular job at local P&D in the Vancouver area. Special equipment, driver labour (sometimes 2 bodies), after hours tracing, you name it. It's too bad when a company excels at one thing, but branching out proves difficult.

Keep well,
Mike

Great to know Mike!
Maybe they are just horrible on cross border shipments?
Just to be clear to everyone that I do not put them on DNU cause they screw up, everyone does, I do too, we're all human and it happens!
Just cannot stand to be lied to...

"... The driver's wife had a baby so the driver parked the truck, flew home so he could be with her... What, you don't believe me? Either way, sorry to cancel on you 15 minutes before the pickup apt. Have a nice day!..."

You mean like that?
Maybe we should start a new thread entitled most imaginative excuses.
:)

Exactly like that! And that is a fantastic idea!! I have 1 that cannot be beaten...lol

I have been dealing with the BC office for a few years now in my current and previous positions. We are a specialized open deck carrier and I do not do van freight as a rule except for one special client, shipments are LTL and TL and all are scheduled deliveries to meet install crews across Canada and the US. I use Air Group for shipments east of the Mississippi and US Midwest just about every week. Service has been good 95% of the time. They are aware that if they are late without a minimum of 48 hours notice back charges may apply, and they do. On the 2 service failures over 2 years and about 80 deliveries Air Group has taken responsibility for any back charges honorably. Dave and Steve good to deal with at this end of our world.

Not perfect, but accountable to this point and will continue to use them as long as they continue as they have.
