hey has anyone worked with the this carrier or can verify if they do good work. I'm looking at using them from ON - SK for full load.

Acutrans Express 2367296 ontario ltd
173 carrier drive
Etobicoke, on m9w 5n5

Thanks.

well for anyone's update we did a couple loads with this carrier and the first couple went well. They want quickpay which always scares me but who knows.

Today they were to do 2 loads out of the GTA to Saskatoon and it's 6:30 and the first truck still hasn't even arrived. Will update next week as to whether they show. Anyone else having dealings with them it's good to update.

Carrier never showed up for either load. Dispatch/Manager Mandy kept saying on route, on route. Driver actually at one point called my shipper and then advised he wasn't coming in he didn't want a full load. Wasn't even an Acutrans driver. Not sure what's going on here other then it's another carrier that has just been put on my DNU list. 5 hours of tracking every half hour, being yelled at but an accounts girl, being lied to. And on a Friday neither load picks up. I would not recommend this carrier.

I would be careful paying them because this sounds like the double broker switch-a-roo to me. That is why on Friday they could not locate the trucks etc is because they could not find trucks to do the loads. Never had any dealings and I hope I am wrong but my gut says if you pay them we will be seeing more to the story from you later.

On 8/20/13 Acutrans Express of Mississauga took 4 loads from us from Toronto ON to Medicine Hat AB that they got from us posting on Load Link. They were scheduled for delivery on Sept 2/13 but did not show up. We were told one lie after another by Mandy the dispatcher at Acutrans and in our efforts to locate the loads which did not arrive until the Thursday Sept 5 and Friday Sept 6 we learned the following:

1.) The loads where picked up and taken to a warehouse on Carrier Dr. in Mississauga ON and unloaded and cross docked
2.) The loads were all double brokered, we got the trucking company names from our receiver when they called in for directions or showed up at delivery and eventually had direct contact with the drivers and dispatchers of the various carriers.
3.) Most of the loads didn’t even leave Ontario until Tuesday Sept 3 .
4.) We have since learned through some of the transportation forms and fellow brokers that this is a common practice of Acutrans Express and in talking with Peter the owner of Acutrans it is considered his business model and he believes he is well within his rights to broker freight and put it on any carrier he chooses, in fact I don’t believe they even own any equipment from what I can see.
