ACE system down

Just talked to ACE Manifest Portal and CBP at Port Huron, ACE messaging system (error 261) down and there is no alternative for crossing the border. Until the system is back up, they are unable to scan Manifests for any drivers wanting to cross.

Pretty sad computors go down and nobody can do a damn thing manually. Another reason to eliminate the border BS

I talked to them at Detroit and they said to proceed to the border with the paperwork and the would clear the truck and process it after the system came back up. It created quite the delay, 2 hours for 2 of my trucks, but they both got through. They definetly need a better published contingency for outages such as this afternoon. Thankfully, knock on wood, they don't happen too often.
