Anyone have information on these guys?

Accurate Logistics
Suite 700, One Executive Place
1816 Crowchild Trail N.W.
Calgary, AB T2M 3Y7

Did a load for them on Aug 19/09 and terms are 30 days net.
Have been trying to get in touch with them since Sept 14th and left message after message.

Phone #
(403) 538-5463 - Shelley (Dispatch)
(403) 538-4737 - Barry (A/P)
(403) 831-2571 - Lorna's Cell (Rec'd this # from their customer who's trying to help us get their attention)

If anyone can do a drive by and see if they are still in business there, it would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone else having trouble with these guys???

We have a customer that gave some work to Accurate Logistics because they quoted some very low rates that we would not match. Just last week I received an e-mail from this customer telling me that they were being contacted by the carriers for these moves for non-payment by Accurate. Shortly after, the customer sent me a copy of an e-mail they received from Accurate telling them that they were "re-structuring" with a new debt repayment plan and re-assured the customer that "all carriers would eventually be paid". They also said that this was the alternative they selected to avoid outright bankruptcy. It appears that they are in trouble

Just finally recieved an email from Murray Crane, President and it reads as follows:

I sincerely apologize for the lack of communication but it is beyond my control. Our company has had a difficult time, and we were forced to hire trustee to help the company restructure. We have done this in the interest of the company’s debtors. The trustee sent out a letter of the plans going forward last week, You should see it this week. The trustee’s contact info will be in the letter. I am no longer a contact point.

We regret this situation, however we are trying to make the best of an unfortunate situation.

Regards

Murray

How can I say this as politely as I can... Friggin thieves...

They knew when they assigned this load that they had NO intentions of ever paying.....

GGGGGGRRRRRRRR.........:mad::mad::mad:

That pretty much echoes the letter my customer received from Mr. Crane. In this case, I know that Accurate was paid for the specific loads they did for my customer. Again, why would a broker quote rates so low that he basically has to beg a carrier to do them?(answer: try to build up volume, worry about profit later) But then again, why would a carrier accept such a low rate?(answer: desperate to get truck moving, try to make up profit on next move) Low rates to the customer, low rates to the carrier- not much left over to cover either party's overhead does it? A virtual recipe for disaster.

Not the price issue in our case.

We took an LTL load for them and got exactly what we asked for. (BTW, it was easy for them to give our rate cause they had no intention of paying.)

The credit references they gave came back clean...

I just wish we had this board before we took that load.... Sigh:(

"The credit references they gave came back clean..."

In this scenario - I always keep track of their "references" and block them also. I have called some of them - advised their credit information was "false" - very unethical and others will know about it.

These "references" always come full circle at some point and just might end up "at your front door" looking for service and opening an account. A good feeling when you can tell them to take a hike!

***Update***

Just recieved a letter from Hardie & Kelly, Trustee in Bankruptcy...

List of creditors attached total 1,495,842.82

And here I am worried about a measly $850 (he says with great sarcasm), sigh...

I can see now that .05 cents on the dollar ($42.50), if we're lucky...

Ok, now I'll call the fuel guy and tell him that $1000. of fuel we used up this week, I can only afford to pay $42.50. Wonder how that's gonna go???:D

1.4 million

Unbelievable!!! I still do not understand how someone or some company can steal 1.4 Million and get away with it? It's cliche but it's true....friggin white collar crimes pay...even if it goes to court....the money is always gone. How hard is it to follow the money? Or for that matter, lock the thieves up until they repay the money and THEN they start a prison term? Sorry for the rant, but I am tired of crooked people killing our business and leaving the rest of us to be legitimate and sitting in a sh!%!!$$#!t pot.:mad::mad:
