Mark this one down in the "NO FREAKING WAY" catagory.

We booked a pick up with AC Transport out of Oakville. LTL Load was to pick up Thursday in Ontario - Deliver Monday Morning in TX.

It started with them Not being able to make pick up on Thursday and needing to push it off until Friday pick up - No big deal - these things happen!

Monday Morning I call them to see how things are going, They say there was a customs problem with one of the other shipments on the truck and my load never left Canada. Again It happens I understand, Its not good and my customer isn't the happiest but we roll with it.

In order to smooth things over with my customer I tell them I need updates on the trucks progress every morning and around 3pm every afternoon.

Wednesday the truck is about 5 hours away from my delivery. They will deliver either Wednesday Evening ( my receiver will stay until 10pm they want this product) or Thursday Morning.

Thursday Morning I call AC transport Again, to see how things went. Isaac tells me, they made a mistake, My product isn't even on the truck I've been tracing all week long. My truck is in Oklahoma still and might deliver Thursday Evening or Friday Morning. Tried around 3pm Thursday to get an update, their phones are down. No way to get ahold of anyone.

So now its Friday, I call, phones are fixed and I speak with Ricky he tells me truck is empty. 3 calls from my customer later I find out .. the truck isn't even there yet. now its 11am the Truck finally shows up, I get a call from Ricky, he tells me they are taking this product off by hand and he wants more Money because now I'm going to make him Late for his next delivery!!!! He hasn't even been there an hour Yet!!!

NO OFFENSE but How ballsy do you have to be to expect waiting time after being 5 days late and holding up people at this delivery site until 10pm 2 nights this week!! Maybe I'm Crazy but I'd like to tell this guy to stuff it!!

Sorry for the long post... I guess I needed to vent!!!

Long story short... NEVER again will I EVER work with AC transport out of Oakville again.

Here's the kicker Shakey.

I come to find out ...The problem they were having on Delivery.. was that, one of the contractors at this facility ended up having a skid fall off the Truck and Crushed this poor mans eye socket. The receiver couldn't off load AC transport because the AMBULANCE was in the way!

AC transports driver took the skids off his truck himself and now he wants to charge me for Driver assist as well as waiting!!!!

OMG, I'm so glad its Friday.

Also if you Search this company on tis website, Nothing pops up.. so most people on this site won't even know how terrible they are!! :(:( BOO!!

We stopped using good old Ricky at AC many years ago. All promises, not substance. They also had a "sister company" called AML (All Makes Logistics), I dont know if they are still around, but they would take freight, time sensitive, floor loaded or full loads with seals on them and outsource, cross dock and manipulate everything with no care of the consequences or agreements not to do so. Amazing they are still around when so many quality carriers have fallen by the wayside. Steer clear of these guys for sure.

This was sounding very familiar but I couldn't piece it together until boss mentioned AML. They are on our DNU list. Looking at the notes. We booked a 1/2 load with them from Chicago to Mississauga. Our CRS's check on shipments in the morning and then again in the afternoon. At 9:00 AM everything was online. at 3:00 PM the response was "Oh, we were just going to call you. We found a load that pays better than yours so we're going to do that one. Sorry". Nice huh?

;) Thanks Isaac!!!

UPDATE!!

I wanted to make sure I put an update on this problem that we had with AC Transport.

Over the last few days we have been speaking with Issac @ AC Transport. Not only has he been a complete gentleman throughout this whole process, but they have also come to a resolution that has made us and our customer happy.

This just proves that level heads, an apology, and a bit of understanding can go a long way! Hot heads and frustration turn a bad situation worse in a hurry!

So a huge thank you to Isaac for his professionalism. It's nice to deal with a company that when things go wrong they will make sure they make it right.

bklogistics,

Good of you to note a follow up post with positive comments. Many of us make warranted complaints BUT we don't provide updates as the days and weeks go on....

AC Transport was obviously intent on rectifying the situation and you noting their efforts to do so let other members know we all make mistakes - how we repair them is what sets us apart....

Fantastic post....

Morning all,

Anything current on AC Transport with respect to service? Shipment pending. Thanks all and happy Friday!
