Anyone have any reference on Aarthick Transport in Etobicoke ON? Any info at all would be a help. Thanks

Happy Friday,
Sam has handled 3 shipments for us this year (all went off without a hitch). All were ON-PQ, ON-ON. Would certainly work with again - fair prices too.
He did give us back one LTL shipment on the morning of pickup (07/22) but called in early (prior to 9AM) to advise that he could not handle.

Thanks for the help. The guy who called us was named Terrance, same company? Anyway, our customer just cancelled the load until monday anyway. Thanks again.

I have used them 2 times in June, 1x in August(ltl) 1x in July(full load)
I am "iffy" on using them now, because the last time we used them in August, they delivered late, and they also called on a Monday in August to give a load back to us that we had scheduled the previous Friday. Ed Hames who we used to deal with no longer works there. If you would have asked in July I would have said - great carrier. Since August something seems to have changed.

Thanks guys I am giving them a try half load ltl back to my dock and I have an extra day in it so hope all works well I will update tomorrow.

AARTHICK - stay away
Totally frustrating experience with them -- no one answers phone, voicemails are not activated. Missed pick up totally that we had been told by their dispatcher the old "driver is 5 minutes away". Finally talked to driver (got the shipper to get the driver's cell number when the freight was finally picked up). The driver told me that everyone in the office at Aarthick lies -- this particular driver was quitting after he delivered the load. I have left messages with the owner to call me to work this out -- no call back. We are asking them to come and get payment in person at our terminal.
All the people in the Aarthick office talk fast with incomprehensible accents and say "don't worry" while they have no intentions of making good on commitments! PLUS - as I said earlier in this post, the phone is usually not answered and goes to a voicemail that is not activated.
Stay away!

Something has changed - recently.
In October I've had 2 service failures with Aarthick after a fair history without issue.
1 - freight arrived with skids stacked on top of the consignee's shipment (only skids of corrugate but nonetheless pretty sad).
2 - 8am delivery (only a ON-QC TL) for a crew and forklift offload (to ground level) - arrived @ 2PM. I've not seen the 'flat tire' repair bill yet... I'm sure there will not be one.
There are too many other amazing providers to rely on these guys...

Just finished doing a load for us and everything that could go wrong did...
Had a flatbed load that needed tarps and they "had all the equipment" so they said.
They showed up after hours at our client and they had no tarps as well as no tie down straps. Our client (heart of a saint) had to drive them to the local truck shop 20 miles away to pick up straps to tie down the load.
They promised him that they would buy tarps when they got to the city and "tarp it good". They went to Walmart and picked up those cheap blue tarps and only did 24 of the 48' as a top tarp.
Load was refused by the reciever and now they want to get paid for all their grief...
Can you say... Hell no? And can you also say, you just bought that load?
Will never, ever use ever again...

Same type of bad experience here as well. Picked up a QC-ON Ltl on a Friday for Monday delivery. On Monday the trk was supposedly at the delivery, driver not answering his cell etc etc.. Than oops driver took the wrong trailer. Set up delivery for Tuesday, driver is enroute to the delivery, should be there, 5 minutes away etc etc... Than oops we forgot it on our dock. Needless to say I sent another company to pick up and deliver the freight. But like Mike said something has changed just in the past their service wasn't like this.
