NFI Jessica from Vancouver just offered a load from Toronto to Calgary an actual reefer load for 4000.00 all in. I know it's slow but making 1500.00 hundred off carriers is bullshit.

She told you her payable and her receivable?
The $4000 is an unrealistic number. Not even close. Wow.

Keep well,
Mike

I'm not thinking anything, I just have no clue what the rate between them would be, so how can we assume $1500 in any case?!?
Maybe that was the only way they were able to get the load, if they also dropped the rate to get in the door.
It's actually unfair to assume she is making $1500 and unfair to assume she is passing the savings to the customer, assumptions are a killer in this industry...

Well if she dropped the rate that low she should of told them to stick the freight up their ass.. and move it on your truck. They should be ashamed of themselves for even trying that rate on a carrier. Less than 2 bucks a mile going to the worlds hotbed of freight haha that is a good one.

I would not assume $1500 that she was making I would say more like $2500 freaking crook.

I know we have a resident NFI guy that posts quite regular it would be nice to see him explain this.

Hahahaha ... so you're the dude wandering around in the ivory tower doing the Unknown Comic impression ... LOL

I would suspect NFI Jessica was caught in a catch 22. Most likely it was a load that was supposed to go by rail, but for some reason or another, it missed the train. In an effort to get it where it was supposed to be on time it was offered out to OTR carriers at the rail rate in the hopes that someone would need a load going there. Chances are, if no one took it, that it ended up going by rail anyways.
As for the $1,500.00 everyone keeps speculating about, the going rate Toronto/Calgary for a reefer is about $5,500.00. The offer of $4k for the load assumes a $1,500.00 profit. In my experience, NFI doesn't work like that.
