What reputable broker believes it is in their best interests to pay their carriers in 60-90 days? Only ones I know that do that are the ones that are trying to build their business on the backs of the folks who have fuel bills and driver payrolls to meet.

60 days plus

You pay in 60 - 90 days Tiger? Welcome to my DNU list.

What a joke,

If Tiger put as much effort into payments as he puts into postings here he would be @ 30 days max !
Get with the program or stay on DNU LIST

A&M

Explorer

Did you read my origional post in this thread after 30 days of having my invoice is when they called and wanted a discount to pay me quick pay. If I wanted to wait another 30-60 then they would pay me the full amount. They are POS in my books and if YOu want to deal with them have at it but they are forever on our DNU,

PS are you Tiger,s brother or just a long lost cousin because the 30 or so carriers I have personally talked to on this matter all say the same thing DNU or they do now.

Have fun Tiger I am telling every carrier I come into contact with about you big guy.:D:D:D

Yep, they are on DNU at more than a few companies. Tiger must think his balls are pretty big. He talks about a "small world" and "wonder you're still there" - yep, the world's going to get even smaller there. Wake up dude: you're not making friends with your business methods if you haven't figured it out and bad business gets no business. You ever think about that rule about a dissatisfied customer telling more people about their experiences than a satisfied customer? It's true and don't think for a moment that those of us who have put up with your bull won't tell others to avoid you. Your reputation precedes you but not in a good way.

Same thing with Tri-Star. Everyone should just say no as soon as you hear either of those names. Trust me: you'll be saving yourself, your drivers, dispatchers and accounts receivable people a lot of nonsense by learning the power of no. Don't even quote them rates and if you do, quote it astronomically high. And when they try to beat you down and "give me a deal" as that one girl said at Tri-Star, tell them you don't give "deals" to people who have a poor reputation. Works for me.

I'm thinking Explorer Trucking must be one of those references Tiger was talking about before. I am looking at a confirmation sheet from A&M and it says payable within 30days of delivery of receipt, nothing on here about quick pay, and then i need to get a re-fax?? if I choose to wait. I have always waited at least 90 days for payment from them. This one took 120 days, and still RBA fianancial took a percentage. Tiger if you are reading this, please tell me why Micheal from RBA was calling me trying to get me to accept 50cents on the dollar, if there are no problems in your company. RBA is not doing you any favours buy making these phone calls on your behalf, makes me nervous. They are and will remain on my DNU list, so lots more freight for you Explorer. And hey, Explorer the discussion here is not about my receivables or how I choose to get my customer, Its a forum to discuss the payment habits of A&M, sorry you seem to be out voted. Like I said more freight for you. If Tiger is not hiding something over there someone is.

We had some outstanding invoices with them and could not get paid, then got offered 50 cents on the dollar. These people should not be allowed on any load board out there. They are crooks, DO NOT USE.

They do not respect carriers

Take them off your list (i sure did long time ago). They have a scary credit rating.

We need this company removed from the Link, they only need 3 complaints and they are done. I will file one today, that means only need 2 more, And I know they have scamed alot more than 2 company's, so lets get together and get this trash off the loadboard. email Victoria at Link victoria.matthews@transcore.com

Mud Puppy, I hope you reported them to Link? they only need a few complaints and they are off the system. here is the email address. victoria.matthews@transcore.com
They did the same thing to me, and we get them off the Link they are finished.

Slow Payers .....

If Tiger can share his knowledge with the rest of us on how to make a buck on his program it would be nice
Sorry but quick pay is 5-7 MAX not 30 + days
Get with the program !!!!!!!!!

A kind of "Slow Quick Pay" ....... I wonder if this is the standard in India?

Soon they will offer "No Pay" at 100%

It's funny how they always want P.O.D.'s right away though.

Slow pay brokers are often the result of slow pay shippers...In Tigerman's defence, a broker or carrier cannot pay bills faster than they themselves get paid...at least they can't sustain that and remain in business. If my customers pay me in 30 to 60 days then it would be difficult to pay my carriers in 15 to 30 without causing a cashflow problem for me.

The key is to find good shippers who pay their bills within 30 days.. and say no to the rest. All of us...brokers and carriers...need to be much more careful about who we do business with. Too often our sales strategy is "filling the funnel" with anything that comes out way. We need to say NO more often...and to back up our cold calling with a qualification process that eliminates the slow/ no payers before they do damage to our businesses and our repuatations.

As a broker you should have sufficient capital to pay your suppliers on terms, irregardless of whether you have been paid or not. Your company's growth should not exceed the amount of working capital you have to pay your suppliers on terms. A major part of the problem in our industry is so many do not follow this path and expect their suppliers to finance their operation interest free.
