This carrier reached out for a load, we told them that we can only send them the load tender if they can meet the Strict delivery app. They agreed that they will deliver without a problem. The day comes and it didnt deliver. They kept telling us that "ohh driver is almost there", "oh driver is on site", "ohh the driver delivered this already" They could not provide tracking as that this truck and trailer do not have tracking. At the end, the load was delivered late, and my customer was stuck with a big fine as they did not meet the production deadline. If you value your business, I recommend that you dont use these guys. They are blacklisted in our system.

Did you check the customs docs to see which carrier actually cleared the shipment? We have had a series of service failures the past couple of weeks which is surprising considering the weakened state of our industry. One would think that in tough times a supplier would want to ensure his service was beyond reproach for fear of losing the business. It seems the opposite is true, at least in our case recently. I think it is a situation where some carriers are accepting every piece of freight they can, then determining which ones to haul themselves and which ones to farm out. In the situations we have experienced it was not a case of offering a low rate, or dealing with unknown entities. These cases were all with companies we have dealt with before and involved reasonable, mutually agreed freight charges. My advice this week to my fellow freight brokers is tighten up your vetting process and don’t be afraid to ask all of your carriers….”will be their trucks hauling this freight”?. To all our carrier friends, please, just be up front with us. If there is any chance you cannot perform the task, just tell us. Honesty earns the highest level of respect in my books.

We've been requesting the custom docs, but they keep giving me the runaround, and making excuses on why they cant send it just yet. Until custom docs and POD is sent over, they wont be getting paid. The good news is that, I know the customer has received the freight.

The other issue I think right now is everyone is accepting/taking everything they can because things are slow and then trying to pigeon hole it all together regardless of any timing commitments they may have made. Read pickup when it works for us and deliver when it works for us :(

That's what I really dislike. In a perfect world, carriers and brokers in this industry would be honest with each other, but a guy can only dream.

I'm asking most carriers if this is their own truck, of course they say yes. I then let them know the shipper will take a picture of the name / NSC (CVOR) / MC on the door of the truck and if the name does not match contracted carrier the driver will be refused. The receiver will do the same and if it is not the company I contracted I will pay the delivering carrier and the contracted carrier will get zero compensation plus a freight guard.

The contracted carrier can have the actual carrier submit under their pars plus do something with the ACE manifest so you can't tell the load was double brokered

Yes, seeing this more and more, some carriers are getting smart and manipulating ACI's. Best thing you can do is advise your customer about the risk of double brokering and how it affects them (ie having to pay twice) and have them verify the trucks loading and unloading.

If your customer is utilizing cross border have them ask their customs broker for a listing of all cross border shipments. This will usually have the PARS/PAPS number along with a number of other pertinent data points like crossing date/time, invoice number etc. From there you can help your customer identify risks in their supply chain and maybe pick up some other business you didn't know about. I ask my customers to request this information monthly and I review it with them to ensure that they are not getting hosed by their customs brokers.

Been calling Harjeet for days now to get revised rate Confirmation for CANADIAN TIRE loads we did for them . Kept on getting excuse that it will be done today/ tomorrow then it changed to excuses that someone else from their office is supposed to send it after that they just stopped replying to any of the msgs sent to them and then girl named Lovepreet from their office said I will Definitely do it today and that today never came .

Attaching screenshot as proof for other people to see so that people are careful working going forward and atleast get rate Confirmation.

I don't know if I will even get paid as I am 20 days past already since delivery was done and have not been able to invoice as we dont have revised rate Confirmation for work done but want to post this here so that atleast other people are not in Same position as me.

Attached screenshot of calls as well I did to them. Answered 1 call and after that they have just been dodging calls .

Please let me know ,If anyone knows how I can contact canadian tire to get paid on work our company did through these guys for them .

Get on the phone and call CTC. Ask for their Transportation Manager, or similar titled person, and explain your situation. If that doesn’t work, get in touch with an experienced transportation para legal and have them contact CTC. I am sure once you have their attention, something/will happen.

Well truth is now days most of Brokers are looking for carrier who can do it cheapest. When you don’t pay well don’t expect good service from carrier as well.

Saying so, for expedited loads, always try to use carrier whom you worked in past. In trucking things can always goes down south, even brand new truck can broke down in first trip, nothing is certain. But good communication and honesty always goes far.

Worst carrier ever on the market. Keep giving false ETAs.
Missed a delivery last week - rescheduled for today, still not there, don't answers on their phones, emails, sweet nothing.

Gae them another change as they screwed up in the past - told myself after 1 year they should be a bit better.

Way worse it is.

My load was probably double brokered and they cannot give me infos as they don't have access to it.

What a pain...

Brokers should put something like this in Email footnote / And be ALWAYS willing to enforce this regardless of market situation.

These guys are same company as Thar Trucking. They steal loads and don't reply. Making a police report we know where there yard is. They don't answer phone calls or reply.
