Peel police have arrested a 66-year-old man after they allege $2 million in goods were stolen by a “deceptive fraud ring” targeting trucking companies in the lead-up to Christmas.

Police said firms across the GTA were targeted with cargo allegedly stolen from eight tractor trailers over a period of three weeks.

Last Thursday, Peel police’s auto crime unit recovered the goods, which included electronics, after search warrants were executed on three GTA addresses.

The streets involved where Glidden Rd. in Brampton as well as two Toronto addresses: Belfield Rd, near Kipling Ave. and Hwy. 401, as well as Precision Rd. near Rexdale Blvd. and Hwy. 27.

Antonio Aulicino of King City has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime. Police say there are likely others involved in what they call a “deceptive fraud ring.”

Police said the robberies were “highly organized in nature.” The case is still under investigation.

Your right Drob, I checked our contract for West Metro, signed by Tony Aulicino located at 1 Precision Rd. Just made our DNU list.

I have 2 West Metro the second one is 135 Bethridge.......that address sounds awfully familiar.

Actually I know for a fact that 135 bethridge is owned by west metro. currently used for warehousing.

You are 100% correct - I actually went to see this building as it has a for lease sign on it....and I recall the agent saying that this building was owned by a person by the name of Tony and that they owned West Metro.....wow, glad we never entered into that deal. I understand that the son of Tony is involved some how.....

I just remembered , this is the same address that Tony "Baloney" of GHK worked from a few years back. I went to visit them before they were going to haul a load for me....135 Bethridge.
