I'm looking to get 2 new Logistic trailers to run short haul. Does anyone have a dealer that they feel meets a good balance between price point and quality trailer?

Call them all and beat them as much as you can. Pricing is up with the dollar and there are not many used ones around so good luck. I would personally stay away from Utility as they are rotting out on the panels on us, mind you they are getting up there in age now but I never found them all that great when they where new.

Best trailers we ever had would be a toss up between Manacs and Trailmobiles. Both Canadian made and a little heavier but they where bullet proof. I am still running 14 year old Manacs around the city on a local deal and they are still bulletproof.

Rob we have 10 2014 Manac heated trailers and they are lighter than our 2012 Stoughton plate vans, great trailers. We just bought 20 more and wow what a sticker shock and we got in a decent dollar exchange.

Dollar exchange on a Manac ??? Did I miss something important? Is Quebec using a different currency than the rest of Canada now?
I know people say I sleep under a rock ... but wow !!! ... LOL

Rob's right though ... Utility makes the best reefers bar none, but their dry vans do suck. The best, especially for local work, are Manac or Trailmobile.
For cross border work, we've found Stoughton dry vans to be competent, however, I'd be interested in giving those new Hyundai's a try.

Odd when you think about it ... There's an aluminum smelter in Northern Ontario, and the boxite comes from Jamaica. There are two steel making plants in Southern Ontario and one I know for sure gets their raw materials from across Canada. Their labour is Canadian. Holland hitch who supplies the landing gear and kingpins is in Ontario. The tires come from China (just because they say Bridgestone on the side doesn't mean they came from Ohio). The rims come from London, Ontario. Kind of makes you wonder what actually comes from the U.S. doesn't it.
