Hi Everyone!
I hope everyone is having some success in the RFP/RFQ / Bid Tenders this season. I'm definitely seeing some changes this year versus previous years.
1. More companies are using the "Round 2" or even "Round 3" method of seeking additional pencil sharpening.
2. More companies are providing "target lane rates", it's interesting to see the rates in place on some of these lanes... wowzers some dirt cheap, while others have room for rate improvements or carrier changes.
3. More companies are asking for fixed fuel programs for 2026.
4. Definitely seeing more intra canada lanes that we've seen previously.
5. More companies are reviewing local cartage / transportation this year, its not just long haul lanes and rates being re-worked.
6. Seeing companies ask for more supporting corporate and fleet information from a carrier than I've seen in previous years.
What's everyone else seeing this year that maybe different than previous RFP seasons?
Good Luck Everyone.
