Weekend always flies by, at least the to-do list is slightly shorter.
Regrading daylight in the North (and on the west edge of EST) - today daylight will be 5:59 AM - 9:50 PM. On the longest day of the year - 5:14 AM - 10:44 PM!! 17 1/2 hours of daylight!!
Problem is trying to explain to a 9 year old it's time for bed when it's sunny...

Yes, conversely, the shortest day of the year here is only 8 hours and 22 minutes of sunshine.
